An excellent product which is 100% effective
This is an excellent cast protector which I've found to be totally effective when used in the shower. About 12 years ago I had a foot operation needing a plaster cast for 6+ weeks. At that time I didn't know about this type of protector and used plastic bags held up with rubber bands to keep the cast dry when showering. These always seemed to let water seep in somewhere and were pretty unsatisfactory all round. When I was planning for the same operation on the other foot recently I did my research and came across this protector, which I bought and have been using for a month (I also bought a bathseat). It is easy to put on and take off and has never let in even a drop of water. The plastic material is robust and I've never felt there was any danger of tearing (though I do wear an old walking sock around the cast to provide a barrier). The rubber seal at the top is perfect - it is a soft rubber which grips enough to keep the protector in place and to keep out water though remains comfortable and doesn't leave a mark afterwards. The plastic sheds water and dries quickly. All in all this has helped to make recovery less of an ordeal and I would recommend it to anyone wanting to shower while wearing a plaster cast.

So impressed
So impressed by this item that I had to leave a review. I have just had a foot operation with a very large dressing which needs to be kept dry for nearly three weeks. This works superbly in the shower and by having the half leg version provides a great seal around the thigh. Easy to get on and off and very well made. Highly recommended.

Fantastic piece of kit
Fantastic piece of kit, following my wife wife having surgery on her foot, we was advised about these boots to enable my wife to shower whilst keeping dressings dry and clean, does exactly that easy to put on and off, would have been very awkward otherwise to shower, 5 star for us.

Best waterproof limb protection for showers and baths.
The only manufacturer you should be buying. I remember seeing these in use 20 years ago within the NHS by patients. A few years later with an arm injury I bought one for myself. And it was so easy to measure. And order and receive the correct item. And way before Amazon sold them. A few years ago I could only by an inferior version by a different manufacturer for my child on a next day delivery. 2026 and with a leg injury I made sure to buy Limbo again. And it’s just fantastic. It has an angled cut along the base of the foot which allows you to stand normally in the shower. It stays completely dry inside. Apart from slight condensation. But I do like hot showers. I have also had a few short baths in it. Where it’s been fully submerged. And again my leg has remained bone (pardon the pun) dry.

Good fit, does the job, very slight water ingress
Broken leg in a cast. Tried this and had my first proper bath in 7 weeks. Bliss! I was in the hot bath for a good 25 minutes but did notice when I was taking off the sleeve a bit of dampness. I could feel the odd little bubble passing through the neoprene ring at the back of my leg when I bent my knee but it wasn't a lot and of water and it dried out quickly. I would still recommend this as good value and a good product. Let's be realistic, unless you use sticky tape the sleeve on it won't be a perfect seal so this is as good as it gets. 9.5/10 product score. Made my life that more pleasurable being able to bathe.

recommended by the plaster room at Kings College Hospital and exactly what we needed
My teenage daughter was involved in a serious road accident just before xmas. Her injuries include a severely broken lower right leg which pinned and plated. Due to other injuries (ankle and pelvis) she cannot bear weight on her right leg (despite the pin) for at least 6 weeks. This restricts her mobility enough to make showers awkward. We were initially advised to use try bin bags and tape to keep the cast dry. This had limited success, even if the tape does not peel away there was always some leakage, it is a fiddly process and has to be applied carefully, we would have to do that before she moved to the shower room. Bin bags and tape are cheaper but time-consuming, fiddly, prone to tearing, wasteful and ultimately far more likely to leak. On an outpatient visit we asked in the plaster room what the secret was to keeping the casts dry, and the nurse said "oh go with Limbo, they're not that expensive and if you use them right you'll have no problems." She was spot on. The limbo half-leg cover pulls on easily enough that my daughter can move to the stool in the shower and pull it on there, she can fit it on her own and trust that the seal won't let her down with a few simple checks. Just that little bit of independence is a big deal to a 16-year old that doesn't really want her parents fussing around. Limbo is relatively cheap (we paid slightly more via amazon than via direct, but it gave me prime next day delivery which was worthwhile), it is well made, unlikely to tear if treated properly. The seal is very similar to the seal of my diving drysuit, used well, no water will be getting in. It is reusable, simply peg it up someplace dry. Fantastic product.

Absolutely fab!! 100% effective!
Absolutely fab product, I broke my ankle and was in a cast for 7 weeks and could not have done without this! I previously had a waterproof protector that had a disk around the top?? It broke so this was my upgrade, I was a little apprehensive about how this would work in comparison but it was even better!! Easy to use and so secure that I was able to go in the hot tub when I went on a weekend break (booked before the ankle break) so I didn't miss out!! Tip for baths (and hot tubs) lower your leg in vertically and hold the top open a fraction to let the air build up out, letting your leg float isn't a problem but just not as comfy. I only kept it on for the max of 20 minutes as your leg does tend to start getting hot and you don't want the cast to sweat. Kept my cast dry for showers, baths and hot tub trips!! If you're ever in a cast and want some sort of sense of normality, I would definitely recommend getting one of these to save on the hassle of bin bags and sticky tape!! Washing is already stressful enough with a cast, you don't need to add extra stress worrying about getting your injury wet too!

One of the best post surgery purchases
Lifesaver! Made showering a breeze! Not a drop of water on the inside. One of the best post surgery purchases. Excellently constructed, very durable. Big enough to go over a large boot cast from toe to knee bend.

Imprescindible y eficiente
