Liquitex Professional Gloss Spray Varnish, 400 ml

It works and doesn't smell as strongly as other spray varnishes. However, it isn't as shiny as others I've used and I had to steep the nozzle in white spirit as it clogged (and yes, I followed the instructions to spray upside down for 5 seconds after use). That was annoying. I'll use the product up but I wouldn't buy it again. Update: I've thrown this out. It was terrible. When it wasn't clogged, the spray was not consistent so i had patchy paintings which needed several coats of this to even out the patches. Such an inconvenience and a very poor product. AVOID.

The gloss varnish is somehow worse than the matt varnish. Both spray cans constantly clog up, ending in a splattering of varnish over your artwork. The first couple times using the can, it came out fine, but even then the glossy finish was more like a glittery effect, not a smooth glossy finish. Just don't buy it, found that the Winsor and Newton spray was miles better.

The spray stopped working after one use. I tried everything but could not remedy this. So I had a practically full spray that I had to throw out because there was no way to access it. I usually use cheaper sprays but they are better than this. I thought I would try this because of the Liquitex name, but it was an expensive waste of money.

Tried this for the first time today. Followed the instructions to the T… having had to get the magnifying glass out to read them! Once dried after 3 fine coats, noticed how yellow my canvas’s were. Heartbroken. Trusted the big name brand. But clearly they have issues with certain batches and I got a bad one. I won’t take that chance again. Plus I Certainly do not recommend anyone else does either.

Can is almost full but the spraying bit stopped working, less than 2 months after 1st use. Used only once. Not eligible for refund anymore.

I use this 3-4 times,after that for some reason the spray just dosent work,I'm left with pretty much a full tin I can't use.Would be nice to get my money back but I guess that won't happen.Shame because I really like Lumitex products.

Disappointed with this, barely used and the spray can has now stopped working completely, you can’t spray anything out.

Used once for one tiny rock and when I come to use it again it will no longer spray. Tried cleaning the nozzle etc but nope so basically a full can gone to waste.

Ottimo prodotto lo ho usato su un quadro che ho fatto con acrilici, buon uso spruzzare in senso rotatorio, attenzione a coprire per almento 30 cm oltre il quadro il piano di lavoro.

Fácil de usar y con una terminación brillante y uniforme

A diferencia de otros clientes yo lo he utilizado para un lienzo que es para lo que fue diseñado este barniz, nada de faros de coches o motos. Debo decir que me ha sido util para crear una capa protectora sobre la obra y he ganado en saturación de colores, ahora todo se ve mas uniforme lo cual mi obra al tener el fondo negro agradace mucho. Algunos detalles sutiles que antes no se veian ahora se ven, de hecho, ya se acerca mas a la obra original en digital de lo que era antes, en cuanto a color y saturacion. Lo volveré a utilizar para otros cuadros que tengo impresos de algunos artistas y que al no tener barniz están mate. Recomiendo aplicar diversas capas cada 10 minutos, ya que al principio me pasé y se empezo a velar de una manera horrible el lienzo, el barniz se veia blanco azulado, asi que rapidamente cogi un trapo y quite el exceso antes de que se agarrara al lienzo. Luego ya si fui con mas cuidado e iba dandole una capa cada 10 minutos. Al ser en spray la capa de barniz que queda no es tán profunda como si se hiciera con brocha, a mi me gusta que se quede así, con una fina capa delgada de barniz que realce los colores y detalles pero que no provoque tanto reflejo como si fuera un espejo que es lo que puede pasar con brocha porque suele ser mas gorda la capa, pero bueno para gustos colores.

Sehr gut aber schnell leer

Su cobertura y densidad es alta y eso genera un efecto secundario de azular las piezas nada deseable en mi caso que era para proteger unas piezas metálicas pulidas a espejo, pero que luego cuando seca desaparece(tarda en secar) , quizás el problema esté en el propio pulverizador(boquilla) que lanza la laca más que un pulverizado de calidad, por eso le pongo 4 estrellas, pero la laca protege muy bien y da buen brillo.
