Extra Select Wheatgerm Sticks Complete Fish Food Tub, 5 Litre

We have both koi and goldfish in our pond. The koi are lazy until the water really warms up, but the goldfish are looking for food much easier. So adding wheatgerm is always a good spring wake up food because it is easy for both types to digest. Normally by this time of year we would have had warmer weather and water temps would be up above 7 degrees C, but unfortuantely the cold weather has been hanging on and it is questionable to feed them when the weather stays lower. I have managed to give them a couple of feeds and it was all eaten without any issues. This arrives in a large 5L round resealable tub with a handle. So you can easily carry it down to the pond feed them, and carry back inside. It seals nicely keeping the food crisp and avoiding any smell in the house. These are sticks so they float and will comtinue to do so unless you squash them and take the air out. This should last us through the spring untilthe fish are back on to full food again. You can also use it when heading into autumn/winter when the water temps drop below 10 but are higher than 5 or 6. Good quality and value. Recommended.thank you for reading my review. This represents good value and is a useful size for spring and autumn feeding, My koi were not enthusiastic at first though this was probably due to changing their feed from high protein sticks. Now that they are familiar with it, they feed well.

Bought this last year. Fish love it good value for money. Good resealable pot. Just the right size for my pond to get us over winter

Good for when it gets colder when you are preparing your fish for the winter torpor and obviously when it starts getting warmer and they start to feed again until it is warm enough to give them their normal food,

Usually buy food from the garden centre but it has gone up considerably in price plus it is a fair distance away. We thought we’d try this. It was delivered in a timely manner and the fish seem to like it.
