Spraycraft Kroma Colours 118 ml Set of 12 Edible Airbrush Paint Set

Excellent cake paints. They adhere very well with rich colours, no running or bleeding, and do not melt the icing. The bottles are larger than I expected - they will last me for years! They feel slightly intoxicating in use - I think they are diluted with alcohol! I use them with an Aztek airbrush and a Bambi oil free compressor, but any setup would do, though I wouldn't recommend disposable bottled air unless you have a very small project, or it will cost you a fortune over time. Great results, and they don't harm the flavour of the icing. Made in the USA, and top quality, safe to eat dyes. First project was a minecraft cake sprayed with the use of a home-made square aperture stencil hand cut with a modelling knife from pre-fused laminator pouch sheet, sprayed in green and brown straight from the bottle - no mixing or diluting required - see picture below. Super easy clean-up afterwards by just spraying water through the airbrush.

It's the 2nd set of colours I'm buying. I got the 1st one for my bday 2 years ago, and I loved them! The colours are very vivid and they dry quickly. I actually even used few drops to colour the icing too ;) They can be used with the airbrush or with the palette and brush. I think the first box might actually be enough for another year or so, but as they were on sale I decided to buy them :) I bake probably around 70 - 100 cakes per year :)

Good selection. Colours worked well with my Dinky Doodles airbrush set. Nice and bright, covered a large area very quickly.

Very impressed with the size and the fact they came individually sealed but just to forwarn everyone- these came with a use by of 05/2020. (Review date 28/08/2018) For the shear size of them (118ml) I don’t think i’ll use them up in time but a good price and I’m sure good quality (although cannot comment at the moment)

Does what it says on the tin

I use airbrush on gessoed canvas and plaster and this product is really not suited for either one of those. The ink is watery, pearls and forms drops (is it alcohol or acrylic based?), next to that it doesn’t adhere well to previous layers and the paint just comes off or mixes if you go over it again. (Not like glazing with transparent layers, no, it just mixes) Because it’s so watery it also forms streams downwards. Next to that the colors are really translucent and low pigmented, so the black for instance is more of a bottle green and the blue more of a teal. I’m really unhappy with this product and was a waste of money, I wish I could return it but I opened and used it and can’t find anything in the return policy about that. If you really want to have fun airbrushing I would recommend Aerocolor from Schmincke. It’s more expensive, but with way more pigment and coverage. I only bought this product to try out something cheaper and for that money I could have gotten a decent basic set!

Relatively expensive but a little goes a long way. I like the variety of colours and I'm still getting started on all the airbrush techniques but they worked great for what I was doing.

Really impressed with these having never airbrushed before. Really easy to use and mix. Dries more Matt than in the picture but easy to create gradients
