Brilliant performance
I am absolutely delighted with this product. It may not be the prettiest blender or automatic, but it gets the job done and I've stopped looking about for fancy blenders supposedly the most powerful, 2000watts +, which don't compete. I would say its on a level with the waring extreme series professional blenders. The only difference between this and the vitamix 750series blender, apart from the price, is that the 750series is programmable, probably adding to the cost, otherwise the specs and performance are exactly the same (1200-1400watts) The vitamix 500 series blender is basically a programmable vitamix TNC (both 1000-1200 watts) and hence the increased price. The latest vitamix is the automated 780 and, probably vitmixes most attractive blender, which is 1550watts, therefore also an upgrade power wise from the pro 300 and 750series; although this does not appear to be much , these little differences are noticeable with a vitamix. I also have the TNC, which is very good, but power wise, this pro 300 is miles ahead, faster, no need to chop up things so much. This pro 300 will blend large pieces and whole fruit, as long as there's sufficient liquid. The TNC cannot blend a whole fruit, even when fully submerged in water, but it may be because the jug is narrower, so also need to use the tamper more. Apart from that, the TNC performs very well, and also outperforms other more powerful/ so-called commercial blenders. With the 300, You can just throw in whatever takes your fancy or eve left over fruit and veg you don't know what to do with, blitz, and it'll blend it to a tasty, creamy smoothie you won't know what's in it. I think you'll be hard pressed to find better performance, even with supposedly more powerful commercial/ domestic use blenders. There is also the additional 7year guarantee, postage included by vitamix. Vitamix describes this blender(the tag on the blender) as being for domestic and light commercial use, although it would invalidate the guarantee if used commercial. Cons: It heats up quickly, probably after a minute things start getting warm, but that's me over blending smoothies when there's no need to. Power blenders do heat things. Not a disadvantage when making soup. The jug spout could also be a bit better designed for pouring, as has been pointed out before.

Four Stars
It would be 5 stars if not the material (tritan) of a container

VITAMIX WIDER BASE JUG FOR EASIER FOOD REMOVAL BUT NOT ABLE TO BUY! READ ON PLEASE
I already own a Vitamix machine and am happy with it, expect for the fact that food is difficult to get out from the very bottom. I am sure you all must have the same trouble. When I saw the new Vitamix Pro 300 in a demonstration with a wider base jug I was excited as I thought I can buy this wider base jug and use it on my existing Vitamix. I know this jug fits my machine as I went to the trouble of taking my heavy machine the next day to the demonstration point and tried it for myself and it worked perfectly. So I could see no reason why Vitamix would not sell me one of these wider based jugs! I contacted Vitamix by phone and was told I could not buy this new jug unless I splash out another £499 on whole brand new Vitamix Pro 300 Machine and gave them the serial number. I explained that I am a loyal customer and have already spent £450 with Vitamix on my existing machine which is totally compatible with this Pro 300 Jug, I even wrote to Vitamix UK twice and they didn't even bother to reply to either letter! SO ALL YOU EXISTING VITAMIX MACHINE OWNERS WITH THE NARROWER BASE JUG. ARE YOU NOT FED UP WITH FOOD GETTING STIUCK IN THE BASE? IF SO PLEASE JOIN ME IN MY QUEST TO ENABLE US TO BUY A WIDER BASE JUG TO USE WITH OUR EXISTING MACHINES. WE HAVE ALREADY SPENT £450 WITH VITAMIX AND SHOULD BE TREATED BETTER THAN THIS. BELIEVE ME THE FOOD IS MUCH EASIER TO REMOVE AND IS ONE OF THEIR SELLING POINTS FOR THE PRO 300 MACHINE.

I researched blenders for months, talking to blending enthusiast friends, and pouring over every review I could find. Narrowed my search down to a Vita Mix (and Blend tech, with Vita Mix taking the slight edge), so now needed to select a model - The new motor with a constant cooling fan is much better at cooling when the blender is used at slower speeds (less overheating and shutdown issues), the extra HP is always a good thing, but when combined with the wider base blender container and 4-inch blades it allows for much easier flow to the blades for larger items with less tamping (I rarely need to use the tamper). The ability for it to now fit under the counter is just another added bonus. So I was torn between the 300 Professional and the 750 Professional. Based on feedback from multiple blender friends, the presets on the 750 are not really needed (as they tweak nearly every blend to suit vs. a preset exact time) and actually the presets get in the way somewhat using the speed control. A unique feature I love is that IF the Blender is accidentally left on High (speed 10) and then turned off, when the unit is turned back on it starts back up at a speed 1 (so contents are not needing to be cleaned off the ceiling). Also it's actually a digitally controlled speed control, so i.e., speed #7 is the exact same RPM every time. I am beyond pleased with my choice of the VitaMix 300 Professional and would recommend same Make/Model to anyone looking for a top performance blender. I should add that the Vitamix Professional 300 is the same as the 7500 and the Creations Elite, except the creations elite has the 48oz container and each model has a unique cookbook. The BEST big purchase I've made in years.
I actually do LOVE it, but have some observations and suggestions! I've owned this blender for about 6 months now and still use it most days, sometimes several times a day. It is super easy to wash - which is why I kept putting off buying another Cuisinart - the washing took longer than the chopping! A couple drops of washing up liquid, fill 1/2 with warm or hot water, blend for 20-30 sec., rinse. You're done. The new ones are BPA free. The pitcher on this is quite big - I found buying the smaller one has made it even more useful for me. For instance, if you want to make hummous in the large one, you really need to do at least 3 cans of beans, in the small one you can do one. The smaller pitcher also makes it easy to chop almonds or 'grate' cheese without having to do massive quantities. With this machine at your fingertips, you will be the king of the Pina Colada, or the queen of the smoothie. For extra good smoothies freeze your fruit first, and use it instead of ice cubes, for lower carbs, add diet white lemonade till you get the texture you like. I use my 'wet' pitcher (the one it comes with) for everything, but if you are into grinding your own grains, the 'dry' container will be worth getting, the blades are directed differently to make better flours etc. I use this to chop onions, just cut them in quarters, throw them in, and pulse a couple times, correct sauces, if there are lumps in your gravy, throw it in, even hot, blend till smooth, then return to the stove if you want to cook the bit of air that gets into it out. I do this with curry sauces if I don't want the onion showing, or want the extra hotness from pulverizing the mustard seeds. The recipe book that comes with it is mediocre. The good news is there are thousands of recipes to be found on the internet. Yes. This is a very expensive machine. It took me a long time to save, and to take the plunge, I went for the extra warranty as well - and talked to Vitamix customer service before I purchased. The warranty will transfer if you need to sell it. (ie if you are moving over-seas and it won't work there) So, with the extra warranty, I have 10 years of worry free ownership, and it would make reselling it that much easier. But I'm never letting it go!

I LOVE my Vitamix
Vitamix, vitamix, vitamix, how I love you. I use mine everyday at least once. I does exactly what it proclaims to do. I use mine for smoothies, making houmous/dips, soups and sauces. It arrives well-packaged so there is no fear that it will arrive broken. I cannot recommend this appliance/machine enough, don't waste your money on the other vitamix wannabes out there. Invest in the real deal. It's 100% worth it.

Robust, very high quality, makes very smooth blending
We've gone through many blenders over the years. Got fed up with them leaking or the motor burning out. We came across this. OK, it's a bit pricy but you get what you pay for. I'm hoping this will last many years. We had previously spent between £20-£60 and would go through them in a year or less. I did consider ones in the £100-£200 range but then thought oh what the hell, just go for the best we can afford this time. Now this one is robust, strong and works well with no leaks. In addition, what you get is a very smooth blend which you don't get with cheaper blenders (disclaimer: we've not tried other blenders in the £100-£300 range). So far, we've been using this for about 16 months and is as good as new so I can recommend.

Jeden Tag neue Smoothies
Wir sind sehr zufrieden, das Gerät zerkleinert wirklich alles, auch Nüsse, und die Smoothies sind cremig. Es ist außerdem pflegeleicht.
