A: Yes.  They are only held in by a plastic "page" that slips into the leather pockets

A: I think there's about 20-30

**Q: How Many plastic sleeves can you remove**
A: The sleeves themselves are not removable but you have about 16 sleeves from which you can remove cards etc. Poor choice of words!! It works well.

**Q: What does "4 card pouches in leather" mean?**
A: The outer cover is leather and has 2 card slots at the front and 2 at the back. There are 18 plastic card holders in the centre

If you are looking for a wallet which will hold a zillion credit cards (I exaggerate...slightly....its 24) then this is definitely the one that I would recommend. Made from genuine soft grained black leather, the design, quality and function is excellent. Especially for the price. With a two stud fastener it allows the holder to expand as you add more credit cards. Mine is full but still fastens securely and has shown no sign of popping open despite the extra pressure on the fastener. Although it is bulkier when full, it is still very compact and fits comfortably in the hand, pocket,.or handbag. I bought this to give my mother for Christmas. She wanted a cute, yet sturdy, cards' holder so she can carry the many she has and she wanted a system which allowed her to see the cards without having to remove them from the wallet. Arrived promptly. Meant to have 24 card slots, 20 slots on plastic insert and 4 slots on leather cover. Only had 23 slots as only 19 slots on plastic inserts. Also a bit tight so cannot close if more than 15 cards in plastic slots. Simple to fix, move outer popper closer to the edge, so more expansion allowed. Good quality build and good if you need to store 18 cards or less.
