Review: What a great little heater, very economical - I needed an under the desk heater for work as my feet are always cold. I had a fan heater before that and Ben on the lower setting it was as consuming 1220W and it never heat up evenly. It would either burn my shoes or let all heat escape. This one is just above 700W and as it heats more evenly and slowly I have heat all around the underneath of my table. It also stops and starts when it gets warm so it has really halved my electricity bill so it basically it has paid itself off in possibly 2 and a half months! You can see on the graph it has reduced my daily consumption from 7.42KWh to 4.32KWh. Your cost of assuming a KWh is £0.34 will be around 25pence per hour. It creates quite a lot of heat for such a small heater. People say that the power button blows up after a while but I will replace it with a non neon button from CPC so it can last a long time. Very light too. Also no oil so no mess or fire hazard for work! Really happy with purchase. Review: Great little heaters - Both my mum and myself have had one of these heaters for around 5 years now. I use mine to heat my radiator-less cold hall in the colder winters. She uses hers for extra heat in her front room. For a small little radiator they chuck out a ton of heat and don’t cane the electric bill up. Last week my mums boiler packed up. So I ordered her 2 more of these heaters. She put one in her bedroom, one in the hall and her old one in her front room where it usually goes. They worked great at keeping her rooms warm in the emergency, until the boiler was fixed. I paid postage to get the heaters delivered to her within days but they took double the amount of time to deliver. But today I have received an email from desertcart crediting the postage back to me on my next order with them. So thank you desertcart. As I was a bit disappointed over the postage issue but you have made good in the long run as usual. These little radiators are so good, we don’t mind that the extra ones were not needed for long. They are so handy to have and now my mums new spare ones for emergency will be stored away for when needed. They are a sturdy design. No oil in them to leak out. Thermostat works great, so it turns itself on and off to keep the selected temperature. I’ve only ever had to turn it half way round on the temperature setting. The sturdy wide feet make it very stable. Plus it’s easy to pick up and move. ## Features - DIMPLEX ECO CHICO MINI RADIATOR - A compact and versatile home heating solution with near silent operation, oil free energy saving technology, rotary dial and 700 watt heat output - PORTABLE FREESTANDING HEATER - Dimplex mini oil free heaters are ideal for heating smaller rooms, such as a lounge, study or bedroom, by efficiently heating your space whilst using less electricity - RAPID AND RESPONSIVE – Oil-free technology has up to 30% faster warm up and uses up to 9% less energy compared to oil-filled*. My only disappointment was a small fault which is only cosmetic and does not affect the function — the end casing affixed to the body of the heater, onto which the foot is screwed, is slightly malformed at one end and cannot be made to sit neatly in place. There's a gap. It's not broken, and it was carefully packaged with protective polystyrene inside the box; it must have left the factory like it, I think. We carefully unscrewed the casing and reassembled it but it's just a bit awry and we couldn't fix it. I decided it was a first-world problem, and over the top to require a delivery man to come out all over again to get a replacement; I've positioned it so that side is to the back. But it is a minor irritation, especially as this model is much more expensive than some of similar size — I bought it because I think it's so pretty. I don't know how well it will perform once the cold weather comes, but it certainly functions fine and sits neatly in the space next to my bed. It's really light to pick up and move, which I like, comes with an instruction sheet, and the on/off switch and setting dial are clear and easy to get to. ## Frequently Bought Together - Dimplex OFRB7N Eco Chico Mini Radiator, Oil Free Column Heater, Freestanding 700w Electric Heating Unit, Quiet Plug In Lightweight Portable Compact Electric Home Heater with Thermostat – White - Defender 24 Hour Segment Timer Switch - Energy Saver Plug Standard Size - Plug-in Timer Socket Set - 240v 3 Pin Plug With Programmable Time Controller - Dimplex 1.5kW Radiator ECR15, Oil Free Eco Column Heater, Freestanding Electric Heating Unit, Quiet Plug In Lightweight Portable Compact Electric Home Heater with Thermostat – White --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.sn/products/48102400-dimplex-eco-chico-mini-oil-free-portable-radiator-heater-700w](https://www.desertcart.sn/products/48102400-dimplex-eco-chico-mini-oil-free-portable-radiator-heater-700w) --- *Product available on Desertcart Senegal* *Store origin: SN* *Last updated: 2026-10-09*
