I have a chihuahua puppy who can be quite selective with food, so I’m always careful about what I introduce. This is one of the few dry foods he actually accepted with real enthusiasm. He is in his teething phase, so what I noticed is how the kibbles behave when soaked. They soften quite quickly and become easy to chew, but it doesn’t turn into a sticky mass. The pieces stay separated, which makes it much easier to eat without struggling. My puppy enjoys the taste, and eats without needing to be coaxed or mixed with other foods. For a picky eater, that alone is a big win. I especially recommend it for very small puppies, or those who need softened food but still benefit from proper kibble structure. I’ve attached a photo of my puppy for size reference - he’s very small - 3 lb, 5 months old - so texture and softness really matter when choosing food.

This is the best dog food for tiny dogs. We have micro teacup Pomeranian dogs that range from 3 months and up and 2lbs to 5lbs. They all like the food and digest it well, and it has a lot of nutrients in it that the dogs need for proper growth. It does not have a strong odor and usually I keep the food in tne bowls as they don’t really over eat it but they eat the amount they need. I’d you have a dog that’s having a hard time eating it (like it’s too big) you can add a little warm water to the food and it softens within minutes. For our smaller dogs I do this, and it’s really effective in this way.

Good food brand but a little expensive. My breeder and vet said to use this brand for the first 6 months then if I wanted to switch go half and half for a bit before switch 100% to another brand. Puppy had a clean bill of health and good growth on her growth curve. The small kibble was the right size for a little itty bitty dog. I gave it 4 stars as it is 2 times the price of Purina Pro Plan for example.

I have two chihuahuas one is 1yr old(3lbs) and other one is 3months(4lbs). They both have tiny mouths so this one they actually can eat with ease-good for small puppies/dogs with small mouths. My oldest is a picky eater and she likes this brand best. Repurchasing for sure.
