I’ve bought this heater twice now, and at this point it’s easily my go-to for every aquarium I run. I actually have one in all of my tanks, and it’s been super reliable across the board. The digital LED controller is a huge upgrade compared to the older dial-style heaters—it makes setting and checking the temperature really simple and accurate. I also really like the automatic shut-off feature when it leaves the water. That gives me peace of mind, especially during water changes, because I don’t have to worry about it overheating or getting damaged. Heating performance has been solid too. It brings the tank up to temperature quickly and keeps it stable without constant fluctuations, which is exactly what you want for keeping fish healthy and stress-free. Build quality feels great, and installation was straightforward every time. No issues, no surprises—just works. Overall, this is one of those products I keep coming back to because it does exactly what it’s supposed to do, and does it well. Definitely recommend if you want a dependable heater for your aquarium.

I wanted to wait to leave a review. After 7 months it’s still going strong with my saltwater reef tank. Using it in my sump to keep my 90 gallon warm. Even during the dead of winter on the east coast when my teen left my door from the outside into my fish room open dropping the room temp to 40° this kept my tank at 76° (set point was 78°) and everything survived. Highly recommend and will be looking into another one for the 125 I’m currently building.

By far the worst aquarium heater I have ever used. I bought it because I like brand and it had so many positive reviews. However I have gone thru 3 of these in less than 2 years. The customer service is non-responsive. The issue with this heater is that it will malfunction and claim that it is over heating which causes it to beep. Well the beeping does not stop. Even unplugging it for a long period of time and then plugging it in. I checked the temp of the heater submerged, and the water temp itself and it is no where near the temp the displays states. Going thru 3 of these for this price point is just ridiculous. I had high hopes for it but the only thing this delivered was a constant beeping. I DO NOT recommend buying this. Even with the warranty it is not worth it as they don't respond when you submit it.

The heater is in my 150 gallon stock tank for my turtle. I love that it regulates the temp and as a safety shut off. Easy to set up and use and was a good price point. Been using it for a few months now and have had no issues.

I have had this heater for nearly a year now and will buy nothing less! This has saved me twice now with my 130gallon tank. When the heater doesn’t sense water (the tank emptied) it auto shuts off and then beeps constantly until fixed! I would not have caught my tank emptying out had it not been for this alarm! This has saved me twice to a failed canister filter that emptied out my tank and nearly killed my precious fish and plants! I highly recommend this heater! Buy it, you won’t regret it!

Worked well for the 4 months I had it in my tank. Two nights ago it started beeping and displayed Auto Stop. I checked everything and it looked ok from the outside. Heater was 7" under the water. Wrote customer service and haven't heard back yet, will update once I heard something. Pictures of product are accurate and pretty easy to use. Update 8/10/2026 - worked with customer service and they replaced the unit and everything is working well now.

Some of the best heaters in the market. I have 4 of them running. I honestly love everything about these heaters and they have been running for over a year now. Digital temp display is extremely nice, measures were taken to prevent fish from getting burned, the low water indicator could be floor and fish saver if you spring a leaj in the middle of the night. The heater starts beeping and shuts off the heater when the water level drops to the main body of the heater. Awesome product.

This is the best heater I’ve ever owned and at an excellent price point. I am a tropical fish hobbyist with over 40 years experience. I bought the 500 watt version and am absolutely blown away at the rugged build quality, the dual heating elements, and the ease of setting the digital thermostat. This heater is accurate and heats quicker than anything I’ve owned in 40 years.

I purchased the Hygger Aquarium Heater (500W model) with high expectations, but it completely failed after just 5 months of normal use. This is supposed to be a premium product, yet the quality is extremely poor. Even worse, I contacted the manufacturer multiple times via email, and received no reply at all. The heater is now useless, and my trust in this brand is gone. I strongly do NOT recommend buying this product. Save your money and avoid the frustration – there are more reliable brands out there that actually stand behind their products.

Ein super Heizgerät – ich benutze es in meinem 600-Liter-Meerwasseraquarium und die Temperatur bleibt absolut stabil.

Not happy. After only 4 months the thermostat has failed on it I have all hyggar heaters and lights and already 2 heaters have now had the thermostat go. 500 watt version

Heizt sehr gut und hält die Temperatur gut auf dem eingestellten Wert, einfach ein zu stellen 👍
