Tramontina 80117/580DS Pro-Line Stainless Steel Covered Stock Pot, 16-Quart

Exceptional product. Thick walls, base is very thick (ready for induction cooking), but work great for traditional stovetop cooking. Everything you would expect from a top of the line stock-pot. So why the overall 4 star rating... ours came with a small dent in the lid. Doesnt effect usability, more cosmetic than anything else...not worth the return for another new item. Packaging was fine, looked like from factory. Item was not inspected at the store before shipment. But when you pay this price for a stock-pot, it should be flawless, and you're the one who gets to ding it up.

I have an identical product # as this new pot I ordered. But the quality of this new pot has gone down. Was fooled since I wanted & ordered same product number. They’ve reduced the amount of SS in the pot.

I thought my order was for a 12 qt pot, I was sent a 16 qt, still in the box.

My daughter in law asked for a stock pot for Christmas, so I went on the search for one and decided on this one. Glad I did, she seemed to really like it. It's not as tall as some and is shorter. She used it Christmas day for cooking the potatoes. Would buy from this company again.

Most canning and other food preparation is very labor intensive prior to ever putting it in a pot for cooking. If using a single thickness pot to cook and the heat is too high or you fail to stir constantly it can burn of stick in a nano second.
