Hello,the little red button is a thermal cut out switch,if the unit gets too hot it cuts the power,the red button restores power flow when pushed if it has cooled down enough.regards

The plug is a standard size 240 volt plug witch is blue yellow plugs 110 volt

Do you have to unwind the whole cable to use, or can you just pull out the amount needed?
