Better than the competition?
NICE====There are several of this type of pen. One of the leaders in this type is the Sakura Pens Pigma Micron All Black 8 Nibs Set and I tend to compare other pens by this standard.FAN====I like a pen to draw with or write with. I am a real fan of this style of art pen as I find them easy to draw with.SHARP=======Not many pens can provide a clean and sharp line as these type of drawing pens can.I used this and compared the Micron. I must admit that they are very similar in many aspects. The size, weight, and feel are very similar. I do think the Staedtler's tip is slightly softer feeling than the Sakura. Not an issue for me but may be if you're heavy handed.CASE=====The packaging is a rather attractive and useful case.FEEL====In the hand these are a better fit than the competition.OVERALL========Good for writing, sketching and drawing.Solid, long metal tipGood for using with a ruler or a template.Pigment ink is indelible and waterproof. No bleeding when highlighted.I have bought more as they're currently my favourite drawing pen.

Couldn't be without these
I always like to have permanent fineliners about for everything from drawing to addressing envelopes. This set covers everything, 0.1 and 0.3 fine for drawing, 0.5 and 0.7 for handwriting. They are waterproof on paper, lightfast and indelible. Apparently the cap can be left off for 18 hours and they won't dry out but haven't tested that!I thought that they wouldn't stay in the case for long and drift about the house as pens usually do but no, they are still all in the case, it seems to encourage you to have somewhere to put them back even though I have numerous pen pots somehow the vacant space glares at you and searching for the case is easier than searching for a lone pen not in it's pot. The top folds up and back and makes a stand so that they sit in front of you ready for use.The quality is good and they are lasting well. The price on Amazon is also good. Sometimes hard to find in the shops, one that I will keep ordering. Thanks.

Excellent, precise pens for cartooning and line drawing
When I bought these fineliners I was looking for a set of drawing pens which would enable me to work with precision in an ink which would be both waterproof and durable. I have to say that they have fulfilled all of these needs and more! I now regularly use this set of pens alongside my Letraset Promarkers to create a wide range of artwork. I have found that the four sizes in this pack are particularly well suited to creating cartoons and I am very pleased with the results that I have managed to obtain with them so far. The pens themselves are extremely good quality and flow well for long periods of time. Their handy storage case is also a helpful bonus, if you sometimes find it difficult to keep track of all the pens in your house! I highly recommend this set of fineliners and I will definitely purchase them again in the future.

Different size nibs on the pens, good product
The pens all work well, I haven't used them yet in my art class for garden design, but I'm sure they will make a lot of difference as the nibs are all different sizes so I can create different effects on the paper.

Love Them.
Although this is only my first week of using them - right from when I first scribbled on a piece of paper to test them I knew I instantly liked them. I personally use the pens for line art and zentangle-style drawings, I've been using Zig Millenium pens for quite a few months and I'm not sure if its just the pens I bought or all of them but I found they ran out quickly - and weren't very even lines. Whilst I can't judge on how long the staedtler fineliners will last they're lovely and inky (yet dry quick enough as long as you don't touch it a second after you've drawn it won't smudge), producing nice even lines. I find the 0.7 useful for outlining my work and using the 0.1 and the 0.3 for details. (Also comes with 0.5 but I haven't really used it yet). Based on the great first impressions I have - I'd definitely recommend these.

High quality product
I've been using this for my drawings and I find it being used in lots of them... I don't think I'll ever stop using it. I've tried writing with it and I can write quite smoothly. I try to not put too much pressure on the really thin ones like the 0.1mm pen because I don't want it to lose the point and become blunt (can't think of the right term... but you get the idea). I'm not sure how much pressure would be needed for that to happen but I wouldn't want to take the risk. The pen produces a dark black outline that helps make a drawing more bold and I'm definitely going to be buying this again. It's definitely worth the price!

nice and fine but colour not so good
i'm fed up of the price of the recommended zentangle (pigma micron) pens especially as they stop working well so quickly. I find the pm pens get scratchy and then lift the paper. they also take ages for delivery, and then, and as I said, there's the price. so I bought these in the hope of them being a cheaper (much cheaper) alternative. delivery is also faster, they are finer than the pm pens which is fantastic as it makes pattern making easier, they are smoother too, but sadly they aren't an equal in colour - they just aren't black enough. unfortunately when zentangling I don't find this is a compromise that can be made. such a disappointment. so my search continues for a zentangling pen that delivers the full package at a more reasonable price. it's just not feasible to wait 6 weeks for an expensive pen that is useless before another 6 weeks is up.
