I read this book with my 13 year old son and we both really enjoyed it. It's written for teenagers so in teenage speak (some swear words included much to my sons amusement!) is very very funny in parts & has a few activities they can do. It didn't take us long to read it as we enjoyed it so much. There are opportunities for discussion on the issues raised in the book. It certainly provokes your teen to think about certain things & hopefully take them in. My son isn't the easiest of teens but he really responded to this book especially the bit about being the best version of yourself. We even use that now in our conversations so I at least know he's taken some of it in. Even if you think your ten aged wouldn't read this book still buy it as you might be surprised. My son isn't into reading so when we had time together I would read it aloud to him & we'd laugh & talk about what I'd read. So if nothing else it's a bonding session & am light alternative to try & get your teen to think about themselves, their behaviour & how they are important to our world.
