CUESOUL 57" 3/4 Jointed Snooker Billiard Pool Cue Set 18oz, 9.5mm Tip

I was in the market for a new/additional cue and already having a cuesoul snooker cue this was a perfect choice. Now I'm a decent enough club player, I'm not going to be challenging the crucible 147 record time anytime soon but this cue will give you a decent chance at practicing. So why do I like it? Well for one it is a great price and look fantastic. I really like the weight as well. Feels solid in hand and plays straight. I also didn’t need that much practice time to get my eye in with it. This won't be my fulltime cue as I actually use another cuesoul one for matches, so why buy another. Well simply put I like to have a practice cue that I can try shots without the risk of causing damage to my match cue. I didn’t buy the hardcase version as I had a spare case, but if you do, for the price it is great. It’s a lovely 2-piece cue with an extension butt and telescopic extension if needed. Personally, I think for the price, you cannot beat cuesoul. This is a perfect cue for anyone who is starting or looking to upgrade the club bought membership cue. It also looks the part. Could I use the word cue anymore…

Well what can I say?! Got to use my cue for the first time tonight, my friends were having a pool tournament so I thought I'd give it a try. It played amazingly, it made such a difference with my shots and I actually felt in control. Now I wouldn't normally suggest you use a cue straight off playing like that, as a cue usually needs to be played in, but I had nothing to lose and I'm glad I did! The result of how much the cue helped is evident in my final placing. I can proudly say that I came second, and credit has to go to this wonderfully made cue! I've noticed that many people have had issues with the tip, all I can say is that I've had no problems. My only advice would be to persevere with the tip, it's made of laminated pig skin as opposed to pressed leather, so it takes more effort to shape and roughen up to hold chalk, being that it's tougher. All in all, I would have no problem recommending this or any other of the CUESOUL cues to my friends, or anyone in fact!

I wanted a second cue in case the tip fell off my grandmaster bce cue. Turns out this cue is actually better! Thicker shaft and more balanced but slightly lighter. Cue is very straight and very nicely matt finished and has improved my game. The tip is rubbish and has no feeling ..I think it's made from pig skin, so I changed to an elk master and it's transformed. Warning, the tip itself is quite small at slightly less than 9mm. I think it's advertised at 9.5mm?

Before buying this I looked through the cue options available on amazon and the reviews on all of them seemed to indicate one of two things: it was either the worst cue ever or the best cue ever. I decided to buy this one as it looked decent and I wasn't worried about the lack of a hard case. The leather case does the trick for getting it from my car to the snooker table! As for the cue, it's straight and has a lovely non-glossy feel. The tip was okay but I decided to replace it as it seemed like it could be easily done. Now I just need to get better at playing snooker!

The grain filler was full of holes that caught on face hairs. Disappointing, otherwise a nice cue. They did issue a refund so fair play
