Great product at a great price

It’s so great having good straightforward mechanical weighing scales again after a number of years with the temperamental digital ones; they’re sturdy and good quality.

Well it certainly looks the part, a well made item,unfortunately it does not give an accurate reading, the dial is all over the place

They look amazing, they look more costly than what they are and have a vintage look about them. They are quite small but that's ok as they don't take up much floor space. A nice cushion feel to them, which is wipeable and the magnifying weight gage is great. However, I'm sure mine are faulty as my weight seems to be going up not down 🤣🤣 Would love to blame this awesome product but feel it's more to do with me being a lazy 🐄 I'd take these anyday, more efficient than the battery ones that are all spandangle. I've bought the top of the range sensor ones that talk to you, work out BMI, body shame you, make you feel terrible , tell you you are doing useless etc...these do none of that, these are your friend. You simple step on, look down, step off. Mentally they are better to use. Don't need to programme them beforehand or declare your gender /height etc. These are good old fashioned scales that don't talk back to you and do exactly what it says on the tin! Highly recommended, go for it!

These scales are totally inaccurate! Completely and utterly not fit for purpose. I have asked 3 different people to weigh themselves on these scales and compare it with their own scales (2 at their respective homes, 1 at work in a factory). They each independently told me they were about a STONE lighter on these salter scales. I asked my doctor to weigh me, made a note, went straight back home to compare and yes there is a stone difference. Thinking it might be the vinyl flooring causing the discrepancy, I moved the scales to a tiled bathroom floor. Low and behold, they then became a STONE AND A HALF incorrect! Absolutely disgusting. And now it is too late to do anything about returning them. I only thought they might not be correct after my mum stepped on them and squealed with joy “oooh I like YOUR scales!” Not knowing what her weight is really, I didn’t realise how very wrong these scales are. I bought Salter as I thought they were the best, a well known, established and respected brand. How wrong I was. If you buy these, please be sure to cross check them quickly with different people on different scales to determine if yours are inaccurate too. Before the returns window closes! I feel completely let down and ripped off. If my review helps just one person from feeling the same, I’ll feel much better about it.

These are lightweight and so easy to use.

This is excellent. Digital scales are a nuisance. You have to step on them 3 times before you get an average weight. These good quality old fashioned scales are very accurate and easy to use. Same weight each time (within the same time frame). They are a little on the small side. But they have a cushioned top and very robust. They do KG and Stones. Which is rare in the US.
