WORKED GREAT.

Overall this is a decent loupe, but be careful because the edges of the sliding cover are very sharp, rendering this unsafe unless you remove the cover (I took the cover off by unscrewing the little screw and sliding it off). The down-side is that now I don’t have a sliding cover to protect the loupe from smudges etc., but on a positive note the loupe works well and was a great price (marked 50% off)

Comes nicely boxed with a sturdy plastic case. Solidly built chrome metal Loupe. Clear optical image, good details, no visible distortion, good magnification, good depth of field. Perfect for home use viewing jewelry, coins, very small details. The pressed metal edges of the protective metal case had been smoothed by the manufacturer but needed a little more to be perfectly smooth. Easily done with a small file. A loupe gives you a magnified look at anything you want to examine up close. Bringing your own is essential for evaluating any gems before purchase. It's also fun to look at what you already own. Depth of field is typically shallow, objects have to be closely held, but easy to bring in focus. You'll be amazed at what you see! This loupe is a very good quality tool at a bargain price, and a very satisfying purchase.

It’s a jewelers loop, nothing more. Is it great? No. Does it work? Yes. It is not a triple ( but I can not remember if that was in the description) and it is NOT a 30x loop. I purchased a 10x loop a week prior and decided I needed slightly more magnification. When this loop came up did not seem to have any more magnification than my first loop. Comparing the two side-by-side I saw that they both had the same magnification. This one has a plastic lens held by a metal body. The handle/cover part is held on by two screws, front and back, which I like. If it gets a little loose it’s just simply tightening a Phillips screw. It was cheap enough that I’m not going to return it and I’ll have a back up. I ordered a 30x and I received a 10x. So much for truth in advertising.

As others have said, this thing is not 30x as advertised. I have an old hand-held microscope from Radio Shack that is rated 30x and the difference is like day and night. That said, this loupe is powerful enough for a decent look at your trichomes. With a little patience and a steady hand you can readily discern clear vs milky coloration. The handheld microscope, while more powerful, is extremely difficult to use and focus. This little loupe is very handy and easy to use. Mine arrived with the hinged cover too loose and flopping around. 1/4 turn of the Philips screw and problem solved. The quality seems quite good for the money. Power is enough for casual growers. Serious growers should spend $20 and get a handheld scope that interfaces with Android phones (advertised up to an incredible 1000x).

With my contacts in, its hard for me to read tiny lettering and focus. I dont want to remove my contacts every time I need to read some fine print on a label, box, or item. I looked at alot of different magnifying glasses on here, but wanted one I could leave on my work table and not take up room, or anything and no batteries to deal with. This is pretty small at barely larger than a quarter and comes in a nice little box that keeps it from getting dusty. Ive used it several times now, and while it takes a second to get it positioned right, it works fine,

Die Vergrößerung und die Linsen sind so wie es sein soll, aber das Gehäuse ist zu scharfkantig! So mag ich das Teil nicht in die Hand / Finger nehmen. Dazu ist das Schraubenscharnier sehr locker und wackelt. Wer einen Dremel oder aber Bleistift mit Schleifpapier hat, und die Grate wegschleift, der mag mit der Lupe auskommen...
