I have to long haired German Shepherds so running the hoover around the place several times a day is standard. I also have a rake, combs etc. This brush has replaced them all - it makes sense when you look at it. The pins are angled at the top to grab the hair but it's so much gentler doing so at the same time. I also can't believe how much hair isn't all over my house anymore (I've had it about a week). I have two Husky/GSD crosses, with thick dense undercoats. Brushing has always been a challene so I decided to go for it...and Oh Boy! This slicker is amzingly good, streets ahead of all the others I have tried in the past. I removed so much undercoat today from the dogs, and for a change they tolerated all the brushing until I had finished. In fact they really seemed to enjoy this brush. It cuts theough their coats with ease, seems gentle on the dogs skin. I just wish I had used this brish earlier.
