They have been in place approximately 6 months and have remained firm. I cannot comment on possible damage on removal of these but the sticky pads are very adhesive. **Q: Are these suitable for LED light strips** A: have had no problem with ethernet cables for signal strength. one problem is ensuring they are the right size for your size of cable as on long runs they tend to sag. **Q: Can these be used for a flat Ethernet cables** A: I bought these for running flat Ethernet cables out to a Smart TV, Virgin TIVO box and Blu-ray player at my house and to a Blu-ray player at my daughter's house. They were easy to use and stuck well both to painted walls and to skirting boards. It's worth thinking about what you are trying to achieve and plan it properly. My daughter only needed a single cable and i ran it on the wall right on top of the skirting board. These have been in place for around a month and so far they show no signs of losing adhesion.
