Great device. I thought I'll treat my family to an ice-cream maker during the summer months so ordered it based on positive reviews. It arrived quickly and my wife (and kids) love it. It has a premium design and quality, the item looks stylish in our kitchen getting attention from our friends! I was a bit sceptical about making the ice-cream at home but the outcome really is great, especially being able to experiment various ingredients and have it made fresh at home. The process requires minimal preparation and takes just c.30 mins to be ready. Cleaning also is easy which is great.

Easy to use and delivered promptly. Makes yummy ice cream quickly. Peanut butter our favourite so far. Machine is heavy though so suited to leaving in place.

Sturdy and well built. Quite straight forward to use and produced some good results. BUT.... its SO VERY noisy! In fact, I have to question wether mine is faulty it's that noisy. For the price and the noise, I wouldn't recommend this machine.

Bought this so that I could make low fat sugar free ice cream without having to freeze bowls first. This machine is awesome. Simple to use and easy to clean and makes perfect ice-cream, frozen yoghurt and sorbets in around 30mins. Instructions say to chill all ingredients prior to mixing but as most of them come out of the fridge anyway there's no need for extra chilling time. The ice-cream is best eaten immediately as the texture is nicer but is perfectly acceptable once it's been in the freezer it's just a lot harder. This is my most used kitchen gadget and I highly recommend it to anyone. Well worth the money.

When my old ice cream maker went wrong and I couldn’t replace the parts I faced a huge dilemma. I didn’t want one where the bowl had to take up space in the freezer but the reviews on the fully automatic ones were very variable. I spent hours researching and kept returning to Emma. I was wary as I had never heard of Springlane but took the plunge. I’m very glad I did because everything I had read about it is true. It is simplicity itself to use, the machine freezes to the correct temperature and the consistency of the ice cream is fantastic. I personally like it hard but choosing a softer consistency is easy. It is much quieter than my old machine. Add to this the machine is stylish to look at and sits beautifully on the worktop. I thoroughly recommend

Paddle and motor don't switch off when ice cream gets to thick to churn, lots of hard build up around sides and bottom as paddles reach, finished ice cream hard to remove from paddles. Still, you get what you pay for, although I had expected more from a mid-price product.

Have now had the machine for some month and have used it many times making a variety of fruit ice cream and sorbets. All have been very successful and using it is simple and straight forward from putting in the ingredients and leaving the rest to the machine. It quick and reaches the temperature required. Easy to clean and reassemble ready for the next time. Whilst slightly bigger than envisaged, if you buy one you will find the space and love it.
