What's more surprising is how large it expands into. I have a mitsubishi outlander and the standard size fills the screen completely. However, here is the little down side. If you have a fitted dash cam and/or a phone cradle to your windscreen - it doesn't like it. The shade wants to hug the screen and they both prevent it. It is a bit of a chore if you have to keep taking them off and putting them back everytime you use it. Also my driving mirror is huge, and the shade again can't really get up close, but the flappy edges to the shade are useful in filling up some of the gaps. That said, I don't bother to remove the camera or the phone cradle and I can get it to block 95% of the sun, and that is where it is marvellous.
