Aphogee Balancing Moisturizer 237 ml and Two Step Protein Treatment Kit 118 ml

I hardly do reviews, but after spending a few weeks researching ‘how to save over-processed, breaking bleached hair’ I promised myself to write one when I found something that helped.Enter Aphogee2step protein treatment.I have have had a couple of hair disasters over the last 3 years in my quest to go from dark brown (but with major grey coming in) to blond (to disguise the grey?!). All of said disasters were at the hands of trusted hairdressers!I have used Olaplex since it first became available in the UK. I patiently wait 3months in between highlights and buy expensive brands of shampoos. I take care of my hair, lots of regular air drying, only heat every few weeks, top up Olaplex treatments, supplements, I eat protein at breakfast and lunch etc.Alas during my last appointment 4weeks ago something went wrong. I think my regular stylist decided to NOT mix Olaplex 1 into the bleach but to put it on after the foils were washed off. Maybe she was in a rush? Who knows but 2years of care and length went down the drain.I never see pieces of broken hair- but this time my hair broke off at the slighted touch and I found pieces all over my shirt. My hair strands are so thin and when I pull a wet strand of hair it stretched and coiled into a bendy curly tiny strand! I bought and tried all masks, Aveda, Keratese, Olaplex stand alone treatment and even tried Smartbond.Nothing stopped the breakage. I have hundreds of broken strands all over my top layer of hair where she packed in the half head of foils.Most of the hair in the front crumbled away! Its all flat and thinned out. I also had a haircut last week to just above my shoulders and yet the breakage continued.Panicked I came across aphogee videos on YouTube. I read all the reviews I could find and bought the 2step treatment. But then felt scared to use it “what if even more hair snaps off and I have to have a pixie cut”.Last night I finally felt brave enough. I poured some treatment into a little spray bottle. Washed my hair with PK moisture shampoo.Towel driedDetangled gently and divided my hair.Started spraying it on the bottom layer of hair. Brushing through and taking a next layer and repeat until all covered and combed through.Used my hairdryer on medium heat for about 20mins.Jumped back in shower and let the water cascade down my hair for probably 5mins before I applied their moisture balance conditioner for 5mins.I could already feel my hair felt different!!But read some reviewers wash hair with shampoo after this step to ensure all traces of product removed followed by deep moisture treatment.So I used my Aveda range for this.Must say after Aveda shampoo it felt courser again but after 10mins with heat and the moisture mask it was better again.I let my hair air dry.... It dried lovely curly and so far no breakage! Fingers crossed for the next few days and will see after the next wash.Will probably redo the treatment in 6weeks.But for now I am relieved as it looks as if it stopped the breakage!!PS- the smell was not as bad as some reviews made out. Smelled to me like hairspray and vinegar...

I've just gone from dyed jet black hair to blonde. Yes, I know, not the most sensible decision especially considering I have fine, delicate hair. Just to make you gasp even more, I use the hairdryer every single day. Luckily, I still had hair after all that but it had become a weird texture. When wet, it hung like mushy, stringy strands of chewing gum, stretching and breaking with the slightest force, when dry it just looked a bit fried but still appeared to be intact. I knew that these were the signs I needed protein so I whacked this treatment on and hoped for the best. You must always, always use a moisture treatment after protein otherwise your hair will become brittle so I used both of these products. What a result! My hair now looks actually "normal" when wet, it looks thicker and stronger and is very very shiny like silk. The hair fibre also seems to have been restored. Basically, my hair is Lazarus. I plan to use this treatment every 4-6 weeks going forward to maintain it. I think this treatment is different and better than olaplex. Olaplex repairs disulfide bonds within the hair but this fills your hair up with lost protein (something hair is actually made of). Really recommend this if your hair is breaking, appears mushy when wet and stretches like chewing gum. Take hope- all is definitely not lost!

I've tried lots of products that people claim to be a miracle and been too good to be true.When I say this is magic, I mean it.I have naturally curly hair (3B) and lost my curls due to bleaching and dyeing, I used this once a week until it ran out and my hair was like brand new.It not only brought my curls back but brought back health and silkiness to my hair that it hadn't had even before I began to bleach and dye my hair.This isn't a product to be slept on, if you have nowhere else to turn, please try this - You won't regret it.

This literally saved my gummy bleached hair! Wish I'd used it straight after bleaching so I could have saved more hair. My hair was frazzled and looked like a pot noodle, this has done wonders, just make sure if you use a hairdryer to set the protein treatment, put on a low heat and hold it away from your hair so you don't cause any heat damage.

I have done so much damage to my hair with bleach and dye. My curls around my face and the top of my head are spiked straight . I have completed one treatment and can definitely see an improvement with a s curl forming . I am confident my next treatment in 6 weeks and using no heat will see ongoing improvement. Very pleased with the product . I also love the scent of the conditioner too.

I dont know if its made only for Afro hair, it didnt work even for a week. I'm saying 'afro hair' because on youtube all videos I've watched so first, all of them are for Afto hair. I searched a lot but didnt find anyone with straight hair. Ptobably it's primarily made for Afro hair. I totally forgot that I have ever used it until I receive this review request. It made no different - good or bad nothing. My hair is as dry as before. I would not recommend for anyone not having afro / curly hair. Thanks.

I bleach my hair at home and dye other colors as well. This treatment helped bring my hair back to healthy. I used 6 weeks ago and my hair still feels healthy! This is way better than olaplex or doing any sort of oil/ mask treatment.

I recently bleached my hair and ran out of olaplex, so I reached for this as a cheaper alternative. I was concerned I’d pushed my hair too far this time, although it was breaking it was very dry and straw like. This brought it back from the brink, it’s fantastic! I let the treatment dry naturally and left the mask on overnight, in the morning my hair felt healthy and soft. I’ve had compliments I’ve got it so white without compromising the condition, it’s definitely down to this miracle worker.
