Good quality print and easy to use
I had to replace my HP inkjet printer that I had used for work printing at home after the print heads failed after 4 years. This is a very similar model to the one I had. The set up is very straightforward and took me about 45 minutes, including signing up to the automatic ink delivery. This looks to be a cheap way of running the printer. The printer is compact for what it does (print, scan, copy) and I have been pleased that the bluetooth connection to my laptop has worked fine with no dropouts (unlike the previous model, which had to be regularly rebooted). The print quality is excellent for a home printer and it will print on both sides of the paper. For what I want, low volume printing away from the office, this seems to be an excellent solution.

Good Value
Only in my 1st week. Cost 98 quid. without doubt the easiest printer I have had to set up.took a while to understand you have to pickup the scanner and the next cover to put the inks the inks are very small and I found it easy to put in by colour, black being the last but with the most room. they simply clicked in.I have decided to accept the 3 month ink trial and have gone for the 1.99 for 50 pages option. We'll see how this progresses.setting up the Wi-Fi and the smartphone in my case a iPhone 6s was a doddle, only think it accepted my Wi-Fi without a password. is this an issue? I need technical support on this would love a few comments. Am I pleased absolutely much smaller than I anticipated and the quality of all test prints is exceptional, including from my smart phone I really hope this helps.

So far so good ...
I'll probably come back to this review when I've used the printer more, particularly the fax option which is a bit of a bonus. Initial preparation (switching on, inserting cartridges and paper was a doddle. I like the look of the printer as it's compact enough to stand on a cupboard and the paper drawer, cartridges and scanner are easy to get to and use. Particularly good is the control panel display, but I couldn't set up a wifi connection online, using the HP website, which I thought would be the easy option. Spent 15 minutes on that and then gave up and used the 'set up this printer manually' option on the printer control window - it did it immediately (1 minute, including climbing on a chair to find the Sky password!). I also wondered if it was a problem with my Macbook Pro, which is quite old now, but after manual setup I just went into Word, selected 'print' and there was the option for the HP Officejet. This is why I love Apple. ;)). Speed of printing was super compared to my old Kodak ... but that has done duty, so no complaints.

Great printer if you don't want it to last very long
Bought this printer for my daughter to take to university, to save uncertain access to university equipment when needing to submit work. Initially, had a good feeling, as I've had a few HP printers in the past (over many years) and my experience has historically been pretty good. Notwithstanding the eye-watering cost of ink, and the alarming rate at which consumables (such as print heads, etc.) require replacing, I considered it worth the cost for the machine, for the good range of features on offer. Fairly straightforward to set up, and print quality more than acceptable for the intended purpose. However, after just over a year and a half of fairly leisurely usage, and upon replacing one of the cartridges as the ink level was becoming low, the unit simply failed to print from the replacement cartridge. No amount of coaxing, maintenance, test prints, or similar could convince the unit to print. This is despite the fact that ink is visibly available at the head. The unit has never had any "compatible" i.e. non-genuine HP inks installed, despite their attraction at a drastically reduced cost, in case anyone is wondering.Having followed the laughably "Janet and John" diagnostics available, resulting in actually being provided with no further diagnostic information, and thus I was faced with the option of trial and error repair. Unwilling to continue simply throwing time and money at the printer in a vain process of swapping components until it decides to work again, I decided to cut my losses and drop the unit into a skip with the pledge never to waste my hard-earned on another printer from HP ever again! This situation is eerily familiar, as I could be transcribing an identical occurrence with a similar HP printer that I owned, and have recently disposed of.To summarise, I would not expect that less than two years of fairly pedestrian use, in a spotless environment could conceivably be classed as a hard life, and therefore I am somewhat irked that recently purchased HP printers are failing so prematurely. I bought HP as it is (or at least used to be) a well known and trusted brand. A cynic may suggest that this is simply a ploy by HP to either cut costs by reducing quality or it may be a deliberate act to in-build failure, at a point in time soon after the normal manufacturers warranty has expired. Who knows?Either way, unless I am convinced that the longevity of HP equipment improves drastically, I shall be spending my money elsewhere, and to that extent I have just bought a similar specification unit from Brother, who in my opinion score higher in build quality, usability, print quality, cost and economical use of consumables, and just about everything else too.To the other reviewers who have had good experiences with the unit: good luck, and I truly hope that your printer doesn't decide to fall over in the same way as my recent experience suggests that it will.Raise your game HP!!

Fantastic printer
Best printer I've ever had - don't use the fax but great for printing and scanning. Fast and easy to use (once you've got it set up). Came with 3 months instant ink which is basically 3 months free ink (unless you print over 300 pages after which it is £1 per extra 20 sheets). It's not small but is as described so I knew that going in. Would highly recommend printer and seller as delivery was very fast. Had a slight issue with Wi-Fi connectivity but was (reasonably) easy to fix by adjusting router settings. Thank you seller.

Good quality but at a price in terms of ink use!
Great print quality even on draft and the document feeder works well which is the main reason I chose this model and also relatively compact. Also does two sided copyingBut it gets through the print cartridges at a rate of knots so definitely not an economy purchase
