No just stick it in a fire outside.

does it crack, whilst drying? and is it grogged at all?

Answer Hiya. As with most clays it can crack if air dried too quickly. I didn’t have a problem with it. It’s not grogged I don’t think, it was pretty smooth as far as I remember.

Is this the same as fireclay?

Hello..This clay needs to be fired in a kiln. The temperature for firing is 1,050 centigrade or 1,922 farenheight which is on the label. It is really nice to use , its grey and when fired looks a pale cream. Hope this helps.

I bought this product and need to buy glaze next. Would this clay be considered earthenware or stoneware or something else? Thanks in advance.

I think I would classify as earthenware, After the bisque firing it will be ready for the glaze.
