Bepanthen Nappy Care Ointment | Nappy Cream with Provitamin B5 | Suitable for Newborns Skin, 100 g (Packing May Vary).

I’ve ordered this few days ago, product arrived the next day but with very short usage date - best before was only 06/2024. Product has shelf life of 12 months and it’s disappointing that you get something that has only 1-2 months left. I’m due begging of June so basically I will not be able to use it.

In other countries, Bepanthol, which has no equivalent apart from this Bepanthen in UK, is a nice spreadable gel that gets absorbed quickly, helps healing and moisturises damaged skin. Not just a "nappy cream". Well, this lard in a tube refuses to dry, is horribly viscous and fails at its purpose at the same time. I am really impressed with just how bad it is.

My fault for not reading the ingredients properly, but after seeing the image proclaiming that this had zero fragrances, colours and preservatives, and all the references to provitamin B5 and “natural” healing, I thought that was a natural non irritating product. Couldn’t be further from the truth! Lanolin can be really irritating for some and the main ingredients are paraffin and petroleum... basically the leftover byproduct from making petrol that someone realised they could make extra profit out of, that would otherwise have gone to waste. I don’t know who would think “petrol, yes! Let me rub that all over my babies soft skin and genitals!” but please do your child a favour and read up online about the potential dangers of these ingredients. There are alternatives that do the job just as well without having questionable ingredients in them.

This cream used to be the go to product for healing tattoos! Apparently a ingredient has been changed making it no longer suitable for tattoos. It now causes a nasty rash and reaction so avoid at all costs! I didn’t realise until I purchased it and now can’t return it or receive a refund.

Purchased this cream o the 1 July 2020 sonim stocked up for when I ran out of my current cream opened the new 1 this morning and noticed the used by date is 10 2019 very unhappy about this the previous cream was fine best before date 11 2021. I will not continue to use this on my baby so therefore I have to buy another! Check your dates!

I am rating this has a product used for Tattoo aftercare. This is generally recommended by all tattoo artist professional as the widely accepted product to treat and care for tattoos during recovery. It actually brought on more itching and irritation as well as being quite messy to apply and marks clothing. Try Tattoo Goo or Hustle Butter. I just expected this to be gentle on babies so to be gently on adult skin but really didn't agree with me.

This is the wrong image to the description. The price is higher than nappy care ointment. I ordered the nappy rash cream and the care ointment came instead at nearly double the usual price.

My baby suddenly got allergy to it, probably due to high level of chemicals in it. Used it for few months, my baby body said enough. Had to stop using it immiediately. Will look fot more natural cream from now on I don't recommend it.

I’ve been using Bepanthen on both my kids from newborn through to toddler. I’ve found it works great for preventing nappy rash and helping it too. I like that it has a simple ingredient list compared to other well known brands, which makes me feel better when layering it on thick! It is also fragrance free which I really appreciate.
