Best Butter Churner
If you are a butter maker and prefer to be more authentic, this is the one for you, I tried a few before I found this one. It is robust, the cogs, unlike others I've tried are strong, not flimsy, they don't pop apart once there is a bit of strain on them and the paddles churn beautifully. Quick and efficient.

Such a simple device to make delicious butter within minutes..!!!
What a brilliant little machine. Double cream to fresh delicious butter within 15 minutes.. Simple to use. Just pour in fresh cream that’s been out of the fridge for at least 2 hours then attach the beaters and turn the handle. Once butter has split from the buttermilk, save the buttermilk for scones, and then simply wash the butter in iced water, give it a few squeezes and then sprinkle with sea salt. Wrap in parchment paper and store in the fridge. Absolved delicious..

Fresh homemade butter
Love it and use it often to make butter. Giving 5 starts for that reason. However, you can improve the product by ensuring the metal tiny bolts do not come off easily. I have to keep tightening them up all the time and if not careful I may lose them. Apart from that, it is a great tool. All you need is a double cream and 10 mins of patience while it turns into butter.

So far so good but the mechanism is flimsy so may not last long
So far so good. It made really good butter in little time with little effort (I'm not sure why other reviewers found this difficult. I think the trick is to make sure the cream is at 17°C and that you rinse it with ice cold water in a bowl once you have poured off the buttermilk). The mechanism is a little flimsy so I'm not sure how long it will last, hence only 4/5, but it may prove me wrong.

Waste of money
So disappointed in this product. I followed the instructions using tge recommended 300ml of cream. The churning worked upto the point when everything stuck to the side of the jar, out of the paddle range, after messing about lid on and off about 4/5 times i gave up and used my electric whisk to finish to process. Wont be using again, churn will be heading for the charity shop. What a waist of money.

It work's but I would buy a better made one
The Kilner Butter Churner does in face churn milk in to butter and butter milk. However, for the amount of money and the reputation that Kilner has I expected more from the it. On its first use I had to tighten the screws as the outside crank handle was loose, wobbly and eventually stopped turning the mechanism/cogs and thus the paddles. I have used it to make 3 more butter pats and had to do the same thing each time. Also, the bits of metal that clip the top bit on to the jar is aligned with the crank and everytime it goes round I am hitting it with the crank or my fingers - not ideal. BUT I have made butter and I am enjoying the process of doing so. On this note, the simple instructions say that it will make whipped cream, get thick and yellow then just keep going and you will have butter. This is true, however there is an extra step to watch out for. After it looks a bit like overwhipped cream I have found that it then goes smooth again and then you need to keep whipping and it will become a little curdled then in seconds become butter. It is very fun to see it change and I love the excess buttermilk for baking. Another top tip - but a bit of warm water in the jar to warm it all up before you add your room temp cream. This will help it all to stay warmer and keep it moving as the paddles are not quite large enough to reach the edges. Sometimes you will end up with the whipped cream stuck to the edge and need to scrape it back in to the middle. But, when I preheat the churner I have found this happens alot less and churns the butter quicker.

Satisfaction garantie
Cette baratte semble très solide, je pense qu'elle me donnera entière satisfaction pendant longtemps. Le beurre réalisé avec une crème fraîche liquide contenant 35% de matière grasse est excellent, je ne m'en lasse pas.

Easy and Toddler-Friendly!
This is a perfect product. I bought it in order to show my toddler how butter is made (we follow the Montessori method of education). I saw a review that said that the spinning wheel may hurt your child - we didn’t find this to be the case at all. The handle is way above the spinning gears, and my son is only 2 years old, and did a great job churning the butter (although he got tired after 2-3 minutes). Here are failproof ways to make sure it’s a success, that I learned from my Siberian Grandma, who churned butter on a daily basis her whole life: - start with heavy cream, at least 32% fat content - VERY IMPORTANT: it HAS to be room temperature. To ensure that, take it out of the fridge 3-4 hours before you intend to churn it - you will need 500ml heavy cream for 250g butter If you follow these directions exactly, churning the butter will take around 7-9 minutes. Once you see the butter and the liquid separate, churn 30 seconds more. Then, take the butter out and place it in ice cold water. Squeeze it until the water runs clear (keep changing the water so you can see when that’s the case). Then, place it in an airtight container. It’s good for a week. Add a little bit of sea salt if you like it salty. The liquid is buttermilk, and can be used in baking - pancakes, fritters, etc. It’s tasty too! This was such a great experience for my toddler. My husband thought the butter tastes fantastic, so now I’m on weekly butter churning duty 😂
