LUMIX H-FS45150EKA G Vario 45-150 mm Interchangeable Telephoto Zoom Lens - Black

Not the sharpest zoom lens you'll find, but probably one of the best options at this price point. I only tend to use this lens if I really need to go telephoto, but I am definitely glad it is in my affordable kit bag. I have a friend who has gotten some stunning wildlife photography shots on this lens, bot of us would not have been able to afford anything very expensive at the time, and have achieved good results!If you already have a prime, and you're looking for the next bit of great affordable kit, this is a good option!

Coming back into photography after selling my pride and joy 30 years ago (a Canon AE1-P with loads of lenses) to make a mortgage payment, (remember the days of 18% mortgage rates?!). I recently bought a LUMIX G7 but found the bundled 14-42 lens limiting, so plumped for this 45-150 to add as my first addition to my lens collection. Ordered yesterday lunchtime and delivered today.This one complements the bundled 14-44 lens perfectly, Photos of the garden are with the bundled lens at 14mm (for reference) and the new 45-150 at both extremes of the zoom. Photo is taken from inside the house behind a very dirty window, so don’t pay too much attention to the detail though! Although I have taken photos of the lens on the camera mounted on a tripod, it IS light enough to use hand-held. Though a basic rule is the higher the zoom the more camera shake is an issue and the more a tripod is needed (or a fast shutter speed!).Haven’t used it an anger yet, but fully expect it to be fab.

It is difficult to critique an item that Has delivered good quality pictures, however there are a couple of points on of which concerns me, the other is a minor issue1. When put on the camera body, it feels as though it is not a good fit and has an excessive amount of play and can move, I do wonder if on a few pictures that are not quite as sharp as others if this is the issue or if its me, I dont have this issue with the 100 - 300 mm lens which snaps into place and feels a lot more secure and stable2. Im sure a protective bag wouldnt increase the cost by much

Nice and compact. Ideal focal range from portraits all the way to snapping the odd zebra. Feels well balanced on a small micro four thirds camera. I can recommend if you want a good general purpose lens without spending a fortune.

Ideal second lens for anyone with a Panasonic LUMIX G range camera.Better build quality than the standard 14-42mm kit lens and produces clear sharp images without the bulk or weight penalties of the 14-140mm or 45-200 mm lenses.

The Lumix range of cameras and lenses are great to use, powerful for their size and this lens was a great price with great delivery

I'm hesitant to recommend this lens. It's certainly well-built, and there's nothing wrong with the image quality when there's plenty of light available, but you do really feel the limitation of the narrow max aperture here. I should have saved my money and bought something that opened up to f2.8, but I just don't have the buying power anymore, sadly.

Buen objetivo para el precio que tiene. Su distancia focal es más que buena para las cámaras micro cuatro tercios a los que va destinada. La calidad de las fotos es alta en relación al precio del objetivo.

MODIFICO LA RECENSIONE, AGGIUNGENDO UNA STELLA.Dopo che l'ho usato a lungo mi sono reso conto che con questo obiettivo riesco a scattare foto che non ero mai riuscito a fare prima. Non è solo merito suo, ma comunque sono riiscito a riprendere dei germani reali ed altri volatili con una nitidezza incredibile per un obiettivo da 200 euro. Merito della stabilizzazione e del peso minimo, oltre alla precisione dell'autofocus della G90.Prima odiavo i tele perché le mie foto erano sempre affette da micromosso, ora adoro sempre più quest' ottica.Si tratta di uno degli obiettivi più economici del catalogo Lumix-G, per fotocamere micro 4/3.Non sono un grande amante delle focali tele, ma mi piace poter coprire, all'occorrenza, anche le lunghe focali.Questo obiettivo non è certo adatto alla fotografia sportiva e nemmeno a quella naturalistica, perché è poco luminoso, ma in condizioni di luce abbondante permette di essere usato anche per questi scopi.Le focali coperte vanno da 80 a 300 mm equivalenti sul full frame, ma le dimensioni di quest'ottica sono minuscole anche rispetto ad obiettivi progettati per il formato Aps-c.Praticamente, l'ingombro di questo telezoom è identico a quello del Lumix 25 mm f/1.7 a focale fissa e anche il peso.La costruzione è quasi interamente in plastica, anche se alcune parti sono rivestite in metallo e la baionetta è in acciaio. La ghiera di messa a fuoco manuale è morbidissima, essendo servoassistita, e non ha fondo corsa, né indicazione della distanza. Su questi obiettivi la messa a fuoco avviene sempre tramite un motore. La ghiera non è collegata a nulla, è un comando elettrico, in sostanza.La zoomata non è particolarmente fluida e, se lo usate per girare video, dovrete prondere bene la mano, per non eseguire zoomate a scatti.Non è tropicalizzato, quindi occhio alle condizioni di tempo avverso.L'autofocus risulta veloce e silenzioso finché c'è luce abbondante, ma con giornate uggiose invernali, perde sia di velocità che di precisione.Dispone di stabilizzazione interna Mega OIS, che è meno efficace della versione più evoluta Power OIS, ma offre comunque buoni risultati, specie se abbinato ad un corpo macchina Lumix dotato di stabilizzazione sul sensore, come la mia G90.Se avete la mano ferma, permette di fotografare a 150 mm con tempi di scatto attorno a 1/60 di secondo, ma in questi casi, preferisco alzare gli Iso o usare un treppiede.La nitidezza è buona, anche a piena apertura. Permette di avere sempre con sé un'ottica leggerissima e dalla resa onesta, senza pesare sulle spalle e sul conto in banca.Per poco più di 200 euro ci si porta a casa un teleobiettivo abbastanza spinto, che fa sempre comodo avere con sé.In dotazione c'è anche un bel paraluce abbastanza profondo, che è sempre bene montare e che può essere montato capovolto per riporre l'obiettivo.

Your mileage may vary, but the one's I've received are surprisingly sharp, considering the price. It has pretty good OIS, nice color rendition, good contrast. I use it with a Lumix G110, and it's a pretty good combo with it. Of course it could be brighter, but that would at least double it's price.Highly recommended.
