£4.75 to Stop Your Guitar Looking Like an Old Boot.
The human hand is an utterly revolting. Throughout a day, it secretes a sticky cocktail of sweat, dead skin, and grease, which you then aggressively grind directly into the bare wood of your guitar’s fretboard. Over time, the neck ends up resembling the muddy bank of the Thames at low tide, eventually drying out and cracking like an ancient piece of driftwood. To fix this, D’Addario sells a tiny bottle of yellow liquid for £4.75.When you first see the bottle, it looks deceptively small - the sort of volume usually reserved for eye drops. But because you only need a couple of drops per session, this single bottle will likely outlive your house, your amp, and possibly your mortgage. The value for money is absurd. When you rub it in, it effortlessly lifts off years of accumulated human grime while giving the thirsty wood a proper, deep drink. And the scent is superb - it doesn't smell like a harsh floor-stripping chemical from a hospital basement; it smells fresh and citrusy, as if you’ve just peeled a lemon in a sunny Italian courtyard. The real triumph, though, is how it feels under your fingers afterwards. It completely strips away that horrible, tacky drag of old sweat. Your hand moves up and down the neck with fluid, effortless speed. There is zero resistance and no sticky residue left behind - just a pristine, fast fretboard. It costs less than a pub lunch, saves your instrument from falling apart, and does the job properly. Essential kit.

Comparison between fast fret
. I use it every few months, and it's amazing how it cleans out all the gunk while keeping the wood from drying out. The lemon scent is a nice touch, making maintenance enjoyable. It's on the pricier side, but for the deep conditioning it provides, especially in colder months, it's worth every penny.GHS Fast Fret:For quick touch-ups before gigs or practice, Fast Fret is my go-to. It makes my strings glide and quiets down any squeaks. I apply it in a flash, and my guitar feels brand new. The scent's not my favorite, but it gets the job done. Only downside is managing the residue, but otherwise, it's perfect for daily care. The Verdict:Both have carved out essential roles in my routine. Lemon Oil for those deep clean and condition sessions, Fast Fret for the quick, daily love. They complement each other perfectly for keeping my guitar in top shape. If you're serious about your guitar's health, grab both.

Well-sealed, spreads easily, refreshes fretboards, prevents drying, and has a mild scent.
🎸 The lemon oil comes in a well-sealed bottle, with a foil cap underneath the lid to stop any evaporation during transit. This means it arrives intact and fresh. The flip-up cap is secure and makes it easy to dispense just the right amount without spills. I found that only a small amount is needed, as it spreads easily and absorbs well into the wood. It does a good job of lubricating and freshening the fretboard, restoring moisture and helping to prevent drying or cracks over time.🎸 As a cleaner, it works reasonably well for general build-up, though heavier grime needs a bit of extra effort. I used cotton buds to get into the edges and around the frets where dirt tends to collect. Any excess wipes away cleanly, leaving a smooth, non-greasy finish. The lemon scent is noticeable but not too strong, which makes it pleasant to use without being overpowering. ✔️

Good for wood.
Unless you're a guitar builder/restorer this lemon oil should last you for years - very little is needed to rejuvenate a fretboard and two applications a year is enough to keep even the most abused fretboard from drying out. I have 5 guitars + a couple of ukuleles and bought this oil back in 2013 and still have half a bottle left. Each of my instruments gets treated twice a year to add back oil to the wood which with the modern central heating dries out a lot quicker than it would otherwise - it takes around 15 minutes to apply. There's no need to remove the strings just loosen them off sufficiently so that they can be tied back, three to either side of the fretboard. Scrape of any built up gunk then go over the whole of the fretboard with some fine wire wool - this will polish the frets and leave the surface of the wood ready for the oil. One or two drops of oil in between each fret is enough, spread it around then leave it a few minutes to be fully absorbed by the wood. Finally wipe off any excess oil and buff with a clean cloth and your fretboard will be looking better than new.I also use it on rosewood bridges as they will also dry out over time. Highly recommended.

Promosso a pieni voti!
