The watch hasn’t got a “bezel” as one reviewer mentioned. I think that it would be difficult to find a sturdier, better made or designed watch for the very attractive price! I have wore it when working in the rain ,however,I would not go scuba diving wearing it. **Q: Does the watch actually have a light which lights up the illuminate part of the watch face ?** A: No, the watch doesn't have any sort of illumination button. It only illuminates if it is held near some light source and then fades away over a short period of time. **Q: Is this too big for an 8 year old boy?** A: Possibly yes, but mine did not last long!
