**Q: is it waterproof**
A: I think I would say Showerproof. I have wore it when working in the rain ,however,I would not go scuba diving wearing it.

**Q: Does the watch actually have a light which lights up the illuminate part of the watch face ?**
A: No, the watch doesn't have any sort of illumination button. It only illuminates if it is held near some light source and then fades away over a short period of time.

**Q: Is this too big for an 8 year old boy?**
A: Possibly yes, but mine did not last long! Slight knock and it broke! Look for something more robust, especially for an eight year old.

**Q: how do you replace the battery i e. does the back screw off or prise off**
A: No screws. You prise it off , I haven't had to replace the battery yet though
