Retinol Serum 2.5% with Hyaluronic Acid & Vitamin E - 30 ml

Product arrived on time, well packaged, instructions and full ingredients on box and bottle. The lovely seller also sent me a detailed email with directions on how to use and tips about the product. Very pleased with purchased, only used once so far, no strong scent which I appreciate, product soaks into skin beautifully. Will update in a few weeks to advise if any improvement in skin but really pleased with purchase and will definitely use this seller again :) 02/08/16: Update - After 2 weeks of using a small amount (1 and a half pumps) each night I can definitely see an improvement in skin, the texture is smoother, blemishes are noticeably fading, less prone to spots and the couple I've had have healed quicker than normal. Absolutely delighted with this product, it's light enough that it soaks in quickly so I can moisturise just minutes after applying this. No complaints at all. Will definitely repurchase this, I've used about 1/3 of the bottle so I'd say it'll last 6 weeks :)

Great serum that works to brighten and even out skin - no noticeable change to wrinkles yet... It may take time to see substantial results but personally I noticed a clear difference within a week of use. Recently I have suffered from rosacea and eczema, not to mention general blemishes since developing food intolerances, which sadly left my skin with marks, scars and hyper pigmentation. Not knowing what to do I bought scar creams and a number of serums that didn't quite yield the results I expected. This serum has finally started to turn my skin around. TIP: use it only at night and NEXT to the skin, i.e. as soon as you've cleansed your skin (ideally with a foam cleanser, rather than cream, which tends to leave residue behind), apply the serum without anything else before or after. Don't use a toner before, nor a cream after. Let the serum do its job, just cleanse your face, pat dry and apply serum by patting it in, don't rub. During the day use a good SPF to protect your skin, which becomes more sensitive to the elements.

I have been using this every night for over three weeks now and so far, so very good! It appears to suit my skin, as I have had no breakouts - a possible side affect of retinol in the initial stages of use, apparently. My skin does appear smoother on the surface and the biggest difference I have noticed is, I don't look as tired, if that makes sense!? Whether this is because my skin looks brighter or even slightly firmer, I can't quite decide yet! I have also noticed that the pores on my face are less apparent and do not appear to be as clogged up as they used to be, when using slightly heavier face creams. I will definitely continue to use this serum, as the excellent customer service, follow up and advice given to me at the time of purchase, was to continue for the full 12 weeks to see the best results. As the results have been great so far, then I look forward to seeing further improvements in a further 9 weeks! A great product from a small, family based company, who do seem to care about their customer's and above all, their products. The quality of products I use on my face and body, have to be both organic and of good quality. Why on earth would anyone want to rub chemicals and diesel derivatives, amongst other nasty things found in less considerate products, into the largest organ of the body, the skin. There are alternatives out there, which work just as well, if not better and as Amara Organics prove, they don't have to cost the earth either.

This is the first product I’ve used containing retinol, as I’m only 21 I haven’t really needed to previously. But after hearing so much about how good retinol is for scarring and giving a clear complexion, as well as keeping you looking youthful, I felt it was time to give it a try. I finally finished the bottle last week, having bought it in January so I’m very pleased that it’s been able to last nearly 6 months with almost religious nightly usage. My skin feels so much softer and firmer, not only that but my scars have improved massively (in addition to using a derma roller). I honestly cannot think of a negative about this product, it caused no adverse effects and is good value for money.

Problem: large dark pores on cheeks and nose; fine lines around eyes and on forehead; a few dark acne scars on chin. Length of time tried for: 12 weeks. So I like to be scientific about things, and for that reason I used this product on only half my face from the time I got it (12 weeks ago). I had good expectations of this serum, since it contains two of the most exciting newer ingredients for skincare: retinol and hyaluronic acid, both of which should help with all three of my skin problems. Sadly, after 12 weeks, there is absolutely no difference between the side of my face I've been applying it to and the side I haven't. Nothing at all. It was interesting that, as other reviewers have noticed, there was no tingling feeling or redness from the retinol - even in the first few days of application. It *seems* as though, for whatever reason, the retinol in this formula is not effective. On the plus side, none of my skin issues were made worse by it, and no new ones created either. In fact, in almost every aspect it was like putting thickened water on my face. I say 'almost' because water and a thickening agent don't come to over £15 per 30ml. Edit: I originally gave this product 1 star but have been motivated to change it to 3 stars because of the exceptional customer service I received when I asked for a refund today (a day after originally posting this review). Amara immediately refunded me the full amount, no quibbles, and didn't need the bottle sending back, so effectively you're trying the serum risk-free which is pretty damn good.

I am reordering this serum, as I've been using it for about a month, and I do see an improvement in my skin. My skin seems more taut and less lined- especially on my forehead- I'm thinking that my friends will begin to suspect that I've had Botox! I have sensitive skin, but the product has caused no itchiness or breakouts, in fact- the opposite (a stubborn, red, itchiness on my neck has vanished since I started using this). So impressed have I been, that I've now decided to order the retinol face cream from this company. I will record my findings here, in due course. I am 53 and always looking for the 'secret of eternal youth' - perhaps I've just found it!! P.S. I never write reviews, but I always read everyone else's-and find it most helpful when looking for products- this time I decided to add my own because I genuinely am very impressed with this product.

I am a 40 year old woman who was thinking of having Botox and a friend recommended this serum. It is absolutely amazing my skin is glowing and fine lines not so visible. Don’t get me wrong they haven’t disappeared completely but you would only expect that if you’ve had an injection. As a non invasive product this is fantastic. I love the glass jar so you can actually see how much product you use. I have been using this for 3 weeks every night and still have 3 quarters left . I use 2 pumps each time and that is plenty. I’m so impressed, I’m looking at the other products I can incorporate into my skincare routine.

I got this to try and even out my skin tone after noticing I was starting to get some slightly dark patches on my forehead and above my mouth. I used it religiously for about 4/5 weeks and have to say I did not notice any difference at all with my skin tone, nor did it have any effect on wrinkles or the dark rings under my eyes. The only positive thing about it is that my sensitive skin was not bothered by it, and like some products I have tried it didn’t cause any breakouts.

It is good for access oil for the face but still it will take weeks to see results.

This stuff is AMAZING!!! I was not sent this item to try or paid for or anything. I've heard of the benefits of retinol for your skin and always wanted to try it, but everything I found has been over $80. I came across this stuff and thought there was no way it would do anything my skin since the price was so low, but I thought I'd give it a try anyway. Literally within a few days I saw a huge difference. I'm 31 and never really had problematic skin. I've actually always received compliments about my skin and have been told I look a lot younger than my age. The only issue I've ever had is my skin is very sensitive and I have to be careful about what I use on it. I decided recently to go off of the birth control pill for a bit (mainly because I've been too lazy to get in to see the doctor and get a refill) and my skin has freaked out on me. I've tried everything I can think of and thought my only solution would be to get back into the doctor to get back on the pill to keep my skin under control. This stuff has saved my skin. As soon as I started using it, my skin cleared up and it has stayed clear ever since. I don't even break out at that time of the month anymore, and my skin looks brighter and feels softer. I don't use any special cleanser or moisturizer (just Cetaphil from the drugstore - it's the only thing my skin seems to like) and I have tried everything else out there. From pricey stuff from Sephora to stuff from the drugstore. This has done it for me. My sensitive skin doesn't have an issue with it and it doesn't dry me out at all. I use it every night and I've never experienced any redness or anything like that. I want to try some of the other items in this skincare line since I'm so impressed with the retinol serum. I hope they never stop making it!

Letztendlich bin ich also tatsächlich zufrieden damit. Typischerweise für Retinolprodukte hat es am Anfang für eine Verschlimmerung meines Hautbildes gesorgt, nachdem dieser Effekt jedoch nach ca. anderthalb Monaten langsam abgeklungen ist, habe ich angefangen, es öfter zu benutzen... und meiner Haut geht es tatsächlich besser, habe ich das Gefühl. Ich bekomme immer noch Pickel, aber das Hautbild an sich ist geschmeidiger geworden, die verstopften Poren verdünnisieren sich langsam und meine Stirn ist nun auch um einiges reiner. Zum Anti-Aging-Effekt kann ich noch nicht viel sagen, da ich erst 20 bin und es in der Hinsicht eher vorbeugend benutze, natürlich in Verbindung mit einer starken Sonnencreme.

I like the ease at which the retinol is dispensed and it works pretty well as it appears to reduce wrinkles. Also, the price is reasonable.
