Before I used these for the first time i applied a liberal amount of rubbing alcohol to my hands and put them in the gloves to kill some of the bacteria, after they dried I started using these inserts. I also started storing my gloves in a laundry bag with holes in to help them air out better between sessions. Im still on the same pair for maybe 2-3 months now and they have worked great, the smell isnt overpowering but the cupboard i keep my bag in also smells really nice.
