Having had 2 steam generators fail on me in the last 18 months i was determined never to spend hundreds on an iron again! This Russell Hobbs iron is superb, it's great value, heats up fast and produces an excellent amount of steam, resulting in my work shirts and trousers having crisp clean creases! The iron is fairly weighty but personally i prefer this to a lighter iron. It glides effortlessly across all fabric types and almost makes ironing a pleasure. Do yourself a favour, stop spending hundreds on rubbish steam generators - this is less than £40 and works just as well! My only niggle is that there is no cord winder place, so storing is a pain when the cord is loose. Apart from that this is a great iron!

Russell Hobbs Steam Iron. This iron is amazing. No only is it nice looking its performance is amazing. The slender sleak curves that makes the iron ups its performance. Its well made great value for money. The nonstick base just glides through your items. Steam is powerful it maybe a little on the heavy side but thats needed to hivevyour clothes a great quality of ironing. The base heats really quick be careful not to touch. This iron saves you from standing ages to get your clothes ironed. Because of the weight and great quality of the base it glides through your clothes in no time. I read the reviews before I purchased this iron has a very positive feedback. I would l8ke to add to it as im very impressed and im glad I selected to buy this iron. I strongly recommend.

I found the iron bigger and heavier than I expected but the steam output is very good and it irons very well. Because it is bigger than my previous iron I found it a bit awkward to press small items/areas without causing creases, but for larger items/areas it worked very well. Quick to heat up, a good cord length and easy to fill water chamber. Good value for the price and I've only given 4* because of the size.

Had to get a new iron when our old iron decided to start spitting the water out instead of steaming! Decided on this one as it had a good number of reviews and seemed pretty well liked overall. First thing you notice about it is the weight.... It's a heavy dude! that weight seems to help with the ironing though, especially when paired with the excellent amount of steam this consistently produces. Ironing is very quick and easy, the steam powers through creases and the iron glides really nicely. The iron heats up really quickly and another bonus is the cable is a lot longer than our old iron. Overall this offers very good value for money in my opinion. Highly recommended

As a professional ironer I was looking to replace my old steam iron on a reservoir base after 17 years. Online reviews rate this iron highly so I was pleased to find it cheapest on Amazon. The design has been carefully considered especially noticeable when ironing shirts thanks to the longer narrow pointed tip. It glides well over fabric & the steam enables a one glide finish speeding up ironing time. The larger water tank lasts about 1.5 hours. It is noticeably heavy but the weight must help with the outcome. Do consider the weight if you have shoulder issues. I'm delighted to have discovered this smaller iron with great results and would recommend it for a professional finish and large ironing piles!

This Russell Hobbs Steam Iron (20630) truly deserves a five-star rating. It arrived on time, which was a great start, and came well packaged and ready to use straight away. One of the first things I noticed was how lightweight it is. It’s not heavy at all, which makes ironing much easier and less tiring, even when tackling a full basket of clothes. The design is comfortable to hold and very easy to manoeuvre. The ceramic soleplate glides effortlessly over fabrics, making ironing smooth and quick. It moves so easily across clothes that it almost feels like the iron is doing the work for you, which has made a big difference to my ironing routine. Filling it with water is also simple thanks to the handy funnel design, which prevents spills and makes the process clean and stress-free. The steam performance is excellent, producing strong, consistent steam that removes creases with ease. The extra steam boost is especially useful for tougher wrinkles. I'm writing this review after using the iron a few times.. I find it’s best to capture first impressions with items like this as I tend to get used to odd quirks and start to work around them What works well # IRONING CAPABILITY - Seems very good - hot temp works well, glides well, notch for use around buttons is useful - initial finish on clothes is good. # WEIGHT - The iron is towards the heavy end of what's available - I like this! - It sounds as if the weight might require more effort to use, but I actually find having to apply more downward pressure using a light iron harder work than sliding a heavier one from side to side. # SPEED TO HEAT - the 3100W makes a difference - it's right up to top temp in a matter of seconds - this works well for me as the thing I iron most of are cotton shirts .. I actually iron very little on a low setting. # STEAM - This feature works well - but it's not a big one for me. As mentioned on the box when it arrives the iron will have a little water residue in it where the steam / spray function has been tested. I actually prefer to use a separate water spray bottle as in the past I've found water reservoirs eventually get a bit grubby and will occasionally leave a spot on a shirt (always at the end when you've ironed the whole thing!) I prefer to keep the iron clean and dry and apply water as I go using a simple garden spray bottle. What could be better # HANDLE - While this is ok I did find the steam buttons at the front of the handle got in the way a little - not to the point where it was a real problem, but it just made the handle a little less comfortable than it could have been # COILING CABLE - This is a little annoying - there is nowhere to coil the cable around the iron after use - having said that I often leave mine out in a spare room.. but not great if you need the space and want to keep it out the way - also think irons left out are extremely dangerous re small kids or pets .. so ability to coil the cable would be useful. OVERALL I like it so far - it feels substantial heats up quickly and irons well.

When this iron is working well, it is excellent. The steam power is strong and it makes removing stubborn creases much easier compared with a basic iron. It heats up quickly and feels comfortable to use. However, I have noticed that it can be a bit inconsistent. Sometimes it performs perfectly, but other times it does not feel as smooth as expected. For a product with this level of power, I expected it to be more reliable. Overall, it is a good iron with great performance when everything is working as it should. It has plenty of power and does the job well, but there is some room for improvement in consistency.

Superb iron, especially for the price. We had the previous iron which was good, but the new model is far better Larger water reservoir. Heavier unit, so less pressure needed. Irons wrinkles in one go, so the job is much quicker.

Not a Rowenta iron, nor a Rowenta price, But Good all round performance, quality and value. Recommended
