The watch is gorgeous. I swapped out the band with the jubilee bracelet on Amazon I think it dressed it up and it’s a heavier band.

Had my eye on a Seiko 5 for a while, liked the styles and the whole nice-ish automatic watch for the working class concept. Couldn't get past the compromises in the bracelet, movement, and water resistance though. So along comes the Sport series, which addresses those issues but to me lost some of the style and fun. Then I saw this model, seemed like just the thing. Splits the difference between an everyday practical and a dress watch perfectly for me. Very happy with it overall. Looks great, wears well, very comfortable for a watch that's a good bit chunkier than I'm used to. I wouldn't want it a mm bigger but it doesn't present as oversized on my 8-ish inch wrist. Removed 1 link for a perfect fit. Accuracy is excellent, interesting, these are supposed to be rated for about +/- 30 seconds a day but mine is good for 6 to 12. Plus, it runs a little slow on the wrist and a little fast off, such that the first week I wore it, it was dead on at the end of the week. Brilliant if that's by design. So yah, real nice watch, very happy with it.
