I bought this to replace the weak slim silicone ones that can take absolutely ages to clean the toilet bowl with and almost impossible if dried on, merely rubbing the dirt rather than being able to use force to scrub off! So I got this one which is much better to scrub with a decent amount of force. BUT the closed round top lid bit which is fixed to the brush means that when you need to plunge down into the bottom of the toilet to clear a blockage (I have young children who use way too much bog roll), the lid hits the bog water causing poo water to splash all over the place! I'm sorry to have to be so graphic but it's annoyed me enough to embarrass myself and leave a review! So I'm now having to buy a bog standard bog brush with no fancy design features which will do a much better job! I wish my life had not come to writing a review about bog brushes, I do it in the hope that you avoid the suffering I endured in this disastrous shopping experience!

The packaging for this product was nice and discreet. God forbid if my neighbours found out I needed this! The embarrassment alone would have been enough to die over. It came intact and with no damage. One negative was that it did not come with any operating instructions. After about a month of skid marks building up, my child suggested it might be a manual brush. I mean, who scrubs their own toilet right? Disgusting! Well after filling my toilet with bleach then putting on an industrial gas mask. I removed the brush from its holder and placed in the toilet. I couldn't find the on button to start the brush head vibrating. I tried everything. I must have squeezed, rubbed and flicked every bit of the brush. My child then suggested it might need batteries but again, I couldn't find where you put them. In the end, I gave up and put the brush back in the holder but I couldn't help think that there must be an easier way. I turned to YouTube and it said that I should put coke down the toilet. Damn that stuff is hard to find, and so expensive for a toilet cleaner! Had to get my mate Dave to source me it from one of his mates in the pub. Can't help but feel that he got massively ripped off for a tiny amount of white powder. Turns out it was crap at cleaning the loo. Well, my mate Dave said he would clean the loo for the same price I paid for the coke, and he managed to have it clean within a few minutes. He said the brush worked fine so we'll have to take his word for it. He taught me a neat trick with this brush though, who knew these were also good for stirring home made soup?! Gets all the stringy bits of veg out with one quick spin around the pan. It was also good for curling my daughters hair, brushing the dog and fits perfectly in my armpits when I want to be indulgent and give myself a little tickle.
