Awesome phone, great price, cheap enough to replace easily, strong enough not to need to....
Best android phone I've had, knocks spots of Sony Z3 Compact. This is waterproof, drop proof and the battery lasts days

Sturdy
It does exactly what it says. I bought this for my partner who has a rough past with phones. It’s very sturdy and is definitely less likely to break unlike others. However, if you are looking for a phone that is fast then this is not the phone for you. Even though it’s a smart phone, anything internet based is slow. All of the other applications work fine. Great for those who have a history of breaking phones.

Love the rugged construction
Love the rugged construction, just the ticket, haven't really got my head around the operating system yet, but all looks good.

Mobile freezes and has just died
Okay I bought this mobile to test it capabilities for our repairs/maintenance staff in my workOut of the box the mobile looks great, feels well built and looks like it would take a beating, set the mobile up for a staff member, everything went okWithin the first day the user was complaining of freezing and the mobile becoming un-responsive, I asked him to drop it back to me and I saw first hand the issues, the mobile just stopped responding and need a soft reset.I took the mobile back and performed a factory reset, then reset back up and updated the mobile as much as I could. However just before I was due to re-issue the mobile, it died and would not turn back on, after leaving the mobile on charge overnight it came back on, just to die again 5 minutes later, at this time it still wont turn back onAs the mobile was in storage for a month before issue, the seller says the return period has now passed and wont authorise the returnA bad all round experience with this mobile

Okay but flawed
It's okay. I used to have a Nokia Xpress 5800 so this was a massive step up. I bought it because my old phone was on the verge of dying (after 8 years!) and the battery life and ruggedness was what I needed. I also work where lots of sawdust and soot could get in to it so the IP68 rating was pretty neat.It feels nice in the hand with the rubber bumpers all around it. I have noticed occasionally that the phone switched itself off sometimes after I pulled it out of my pocket. I think this is because the power button is not well placed and is one of the easiest buttons to accidentally hit and must have had the button pressed down in my pocket. My Nokia had it recessed at the top but this phone has it like a normal button on the side, slightly protruding (like all the other buttons). 1 Programmable key, which is nice except it too is also easy to accidentally press and if you hold it down when the phone is asleep and had it set to flashlight, it'll still turn on. This could drain your battery in your pocket so if you are prone to moving about a lot you might want to deactivate the key entirely, removing one of the phone's key features. The screen looks fine, the camera is acceptable for photos but not the best at HD videos. It's definitely no Iphone video camera but then again, it's considerably cheaper and more rugged. I have not had much experience in how fast other smart phones operate but the speed is fine, definitely faster than what I used to have. The rubber port covers need you to use your fingernails to remove and are a little finicky. Battery life is great and worry free. I use it probably 40/50 minutes a day for YouTube and Reddit and I've never had to consider having to keep it plugged in at the end of every day. It only has 4GB internal which got filled up way faster than I would have liked but you have an expansion slot for more. It's an okay phone but nothing to write home about. It's cheap enough to consider it replaceable if the worst happens. I'm happy with it but not to the point I'd rave for everyone to get one.

Speaker died after two months of use in two S30 phones; customer support misleads on guarantee conditions.
Bought the first S30 in December. In February, its speaker died. CAT's online support had me believe that it order to fix it, I would have to have an postal address in UK so that they could send it back from the repair. As I live in Sweden, it was not a viable option for me. I decided to buy another one S30 because I needed a working phone, and I could not just sit and wait while it gets fixed. When the second phone came, I realized that the original support's reply is dumb and suspicious. I contacted them again, this time via email. Now they answered that the broken phone should simply be send to a Swedish subcontractor. It was then fixed in no time. Why did they mislead me in the first place? After that, I had two CAT S30 on my hands, the new one and the repaired one. A month after that, the speaker of the new one died. Now I am sure it is not a random failure but a bad design or bad components that are used to construct these phones. Sent the "new" phone to repair again, using the "repaired" one now. Soon I will have two repaired identical phones which I cannot use for how they are normally intended to be used — with speaker volume on high, as I am afraid that speaker will die again. If you already own an S30, do not use its speaker on the maximum volume! It will likely to blow up after such regular use.

Durable
My Dad had the phone for 1 day, he's a builder, he ran over it in his van after it fell out of his work pants, still works 10/10
