are they easy to remove with no residue left afterwards?

Hi. These can be difficult to remove, although I guess that depends how long they are on the lens for. In our case, these were on for a whole 12 months while we had the vehicle in Europe for that period. On the return of the vehicle, they did leave an extensive adhesive residue. I used a propriety "tar" removal liquid which worked extremely well and removed the whole residue with little effort. This was however on a glass lens, and I wouldn't recommend using the same on a plastic lens as I'm sure it would damage the lens. I also wouldn't recommend trying to scrape the residue off as that will also damage the lens. There are also propriety plastic lens cleaners that may work, but I would take further advise from the suppliers. Hope that helps.

Got mine 2 years ago and the instructions included every model of vehicle on the road at the time. You have to cut out the shape required for your vehicle from a disk then stick this over the appropriate part of the lens on your vehicle this shape is determined  by model and make etc which  is given in the instructions. ...they are more or less the same (a kind of half moon shape) just different sizes.

The instructions which come with the deflectors suggest sticking circular deflectors at 1 o'clock position on each dipped headlight.
The diagram indicates that the centre of the circular deflector should be on the outer edge of the headlight.
