There are any plastic parts inside?

Yes. The lid mechanism is operated with plastic inside.

This is my 2nd smeg kettle. but this one has got a metal taste in our tea. tried boiling 4 times with lemons and bicarb. still awful taste. help

My kettle has no taste in the water but after only 2 months the lid is broken will not stay down expensive too!!!
