very very good but not perfect
These are an indispensable tool and there is not really anything like them. If only there was a way that they could be sharper!! They start out quite fine tipped, but unless you have a perfect sharpener it will be duller than you want. There's not much to do about this, but if you can get a short point sharpener you will be better off. These are not suitable for erasing soft lead, but brilliant for highlights on already light shading. Another use is the ability to add texturized wash-like textures of polished wood by using them as a smear. They take the lead off and give a good impression.

Very good quality and precision
Very good quality and works well for erasing sharp lines. Easy to sharpen to get the point back and can be used to create sharp details.

Perfect for my colour pencil drawing
I do a lot of colour pencil drawings and use Drafting film a lot . Was using the tombow but found could not sometimes get it fine enough. I saw these and thought they would be ideal and I was not wrong. So convenient having an eraser in pencil form and means I can get my erasing very precise especially as I use it for subtraction techniques (people who draw will know what I mean ) . Much more comfortable to use as well than a standard 'rubber ' Cannot sharpen these in an electric sharpener. You need to use a hand held one. I use a KUM two holed one which works really well. Can also keep the rubber tip clean with a nail file or some sandpaper . Great buy for any colour pencil artist and a must have item for me

Very useful item
I am a still a beginner but seem to be making most progress when drawing small townscapes with a lot of detail. These erasers allow me to remove errors without risking everything around them. They do a very good job although I have found they do leave a little "smudge" sometimes, but this could be due to the quality of my paper. Sharpening the erasers is easy giving a fine point that will erase small areas but the point can also be trimmed with a craft knife to produce a multi-faceted eraser/highlighter.

Brilliant erasers
I have a degree in Illustration and I am working towards becoming a freelance professional, so I do a lot of drawing and have tried a great range of materials and equipment. I have found these to be much better then the Derwent pencil erasers (although they do have a brush on them for getting rid of eraser debris). The eraser part to these is much firmer and doesnt disintigrate as much as other erasers, enabling them to be shaped to a fine point with a knife or sharpener and allowing me to rub out fine details. They also work well in gifting a light rub over an area to lighten the whole section without much loss of detail. Faber Castell also make a different eraser pencil with a lighter core and a brush on the end, consistency and efficacy is on par with these.

These eraser-pencils are a necessity for me as an artist who specializes in pencil; worth every cent for the precison they offer
I've used these things for about six years now and I must say, they are one of the three tools for art that I think of as an absolute necessity (the other two items are my sketchbook and a pencil) for me as an artist that works almost exclusively with graphite. They offer a level of precision that I simply have never found in any other erasing tool because it allows my hand to move the eraser as effectively as it does a normal pencil (so the eraser is much more stable) while maintaining a sharp, small point. I like using these for detailing work with highlighting, but I also like using them because they allow me to quickly erase mistakes without running the risk of wrinkling the paper like a large eraser or taking away too much of the drawing. I've also found the eraser itself to be very quality! There isn't a lot of the eraser dust left over and I've never had an issue with the eraser leaving a residue that stains the paper (some erasers have actually turned my paper pink!) so I overall love these things. The only downsides, I suppose, are that you do have to sharpen these like you do a traditional pencil, and after the factory tip is worn away, you can never get a point that's quite so small and perfect, but honestly, compared to the alternative for a small, precise eraser, I don't have a real problem with the way these work at all. I think the concept of the product was genius and definitely tailored with the artist in mind. If you're someone who draws in pencil and has a need for fine detail work or precision with erasing, these things are worth every penny and a set of two can last a very, very long time. I've probably only bought a total of 10 packs in the last six years (so I go through roughly 3 whole pencils a year) and I tend to draw a lot. There are always a couple in my pencil case and a few on hand at my desk at all times.

Excellent for pencil artwork!
Wonderful! It allows for erasing fine details without affecting the rest of the drawing, and the tip is really firm so it's easy to control. Works amazing for regular graphite pencils as well as color pencil, and doesn't need to be sharpened too often, so they will last a while. Doesn't leave a lot of residue too, and the price is very good. I'm definitely making them part of my drawing kit and will buy more when I run these down. Works well for the office too.
