What is in the box exactly please as you usually get oars and the pump but your listing only says the kayak?

Yes the Intex Challenger K2 kayak comes with the oars and pump as shown in the picture.  It also comes with a gauge to help decide if the kayak has been inflated enough, two inflatable seats, an inflatable foot rest an accessories kit and a carry bag.

can you change the seat position to suit a single paddler, a heavy one to big for the single version, cheers

The single seater K1 is no good for anyone over 5 ft 10" regardless of weight, I am under 6 ft. & I had to remove the footrest inflatable wedge from the bow and wedge my feet in at a funny angle when I borrowed one, still effectively 'stretching' the boat !  The K2 would be unbalanced if you sat on the rear seat but the front seat does come out so you could place the front seat right infront of the rear one and paddle it that way with maybe a dry-bag with your kit inside it behind you ??  Despite this being one of the narrowest cheaper inflatable kayaks it is too wide for the paddle they supply (I must admit however I used the old version, yellow & pale blue./grey & it has been vastly improved since then).  The person I borrowed it from had a longer paddle by 1 foot / 30 cm, that was bought separately & this made paddling 100% easier !  (If it is windy from infront the weight should be forward so sitting in the front seat should be OK - you have to redistribute the weight for different conditions, in any canoe or kayak).

I'm a total novice buying this as a present for my other half. How can I check for punctures before use please?
