They fit and seem well made.
I haven’t had a chance to actually ‘test’ these snow socks as yet because I bought them as emergency gear to go in my cars boot, just in case. For the money it’s a great insurance to make sure you can get where you need to be should the snow fall. I have read they are for slow speed and on fresh snow only though, they will get chewed up in road and hard-ice type surfaces, so only for emergency use really.

Great Emergency aid for snow ....
I bought a pair of Silket Snow socks just for emergencies but was always sceptical on how good they are... We leave on top of a hill so going in and out when there is snow is challenging and most of the times impossible. So when we had the last heavy snow and I tried to go and get my daughter from school my wife's Mercedes B class could not move at all... (was fine when there was less snow). Within 5 minutes I had the snow socks on and WOW.... I was able to move uphill with zero effort. We manage to go through to the school which is only a couple of miles away without a problem at all . Main roads were OK but every other road was inaccessible ... Well not for me . On the way back and with more confident I took the back roads that were completely empty due to the snow and went through with out a single problem. As I was close to home and with stepper part of the hill looming I could see a van and a couple of cars been stack.. Stopped half way up the Hill with 3-4 more cars behind me waiting for the others to move and make some space.... Going up was effortless for me as soon as I had space to squeeze through but not for the cars behind me........ Was very happy and also impressed.. After using them I washed them with hot water so as to clean them up and now they are back in the bag for the next time I need them. While the main roads were not covered in snow I didnt see much tear on the socks so I expected to last more than 10-15 times at least or more if careful which is not a bad return of investment . Highly recommend them for the occasional snow conditions

Did the job well easy to put on but may not last long
I was a bit cynical about whether they would work or not, however they did! :-) They were easy to put on and then eventually take off. not to over dramatise the fact. I could move our car from our road given the camber, but could easily do a 3-point turn once they were on! then a couple of us drove in cars to the park to sleigh down the hills and his car slid on the journey there and bumped into a post and ours didn't. on the negative side, you can only drive a maximum of 40Kmh/25mph and given there is a tiny tear already after couple of hours driving, I am not convinced this will last long with the combination of iced and gritted roads.

Surprisingly useful
Used it the first day after it arrived in some unplanned for southern UK snow. Bought it as an emergency fix for being stuck but in the end put it on our FWD Renault to make it a local trip. Better than I expected - the material is clearly strong (drove a mile on clear tarmac and no visible wear) and makes an appreciable difference to grip on the “just about to re-freeze” slush. When I pulled over to take it off and tried to set off without it slipped straight away with them off. With them on I was safely able to pull over into rough snow and slush to let more hesitant cars on the other side pass freely. Surprisingly effective. Short of winter tyre grip I had on another car but useful nonetheless. Buying a pair now for another car when that size appears in stock.

Actually used them! 12/10
Had to use these for the first time today- absolutely amazing can’t recommend enough! Was stuck in snow, no hope of a push from anyone so put these on. Easy to fit and got myself unstuck in no time at all. Best peace of mind for the snow. 12/10

These are great for traction, and are really easy to put on, but tore quickly

These are great to get you out of a tricky situation but ...
These are great to get you out of a tricky situation but I used them for a few days on snowy roads with some tarmac areas and they were totally shredded after a short period and got stuck around the axle. I had to buy chains in the end
