I was recommended this by a friend who swore by it to get me through my emissions test for mot. The car it went in was a 1994 Toyota supra twin turbo. Last year's mot was just about a pass for emissions(very close to the limit) and where parts aren't readily available for my car (if parts are available they come with the added jdm supra tax!). I thought I'd give this a go. I had a little too much fuel in my tank but was a bit scared to use this with the less stated fuel to cataclean mix ratio considering the car is old and has a £6000 engine, which I was scared to cause damage to. Mixed it into a 3rd of a tank of superunleaded (+25 litres approx). Let the car idle for 10 minutes to get up to operating temperature. Then cruised at 50 to 70mph for about half hour. Feeling confident the mixture was safe for the engine I started driving in lower gears doing hard pulls in the car. I drove this pretty much close to empty didn't take long considering the type of engine it is. Then filled up with super unleaded. 1 week later it had its Mot and passed with flying colours! Well within the emission limits and actually surprisingly almost too low on the Co figures. I now swear by this product and will be using it throughout the year to keep the fuel and emission system as clean as possible. Car drives alot smoother, and pulls a bit quicker too. I did a 0-60 before and after to make a comparison and it was 0.45 seconds quicker after the cataclean.

I first used this on my daughters 2007 VW Polo car. It was unused for almost 2 years, we just started it occasionally, and even less occasionally 'exercised' it up and down our short (private road - it was on SORN during her time abroad). Once we wanted to take it for MOT before her finally agreeing we sold it, the emissions light came on (luckily coming back, after a pass, so it was not heavily dirty), but VW sensors LOVE lights coming on sending you to their main 'stealers' if they can!!. I borrowed a tool to put it out, but after about 20 miles it came on again. I added this bottle, plus about 10/15 litres of good (non supermarket) fuel and put the light out again. It never came back on - this really does the job, I have since bought again, but have found it more competitive elsewhere; plus there was some sort of mess up with Eurocarparts and we had to remind them of our order after it had not arrived for almost a month as best I recall. They were very fast to respond when we made contact though, we should have done so sooner in all fairness to them.

I think the Cataclean did help. The fuel economy has improved and so far so good no error message has re-appeared appeared.
