The book is written in rhyme and makes it easy for my daughter to finish off the sentences (I have known it by heart for years). Every 3rd verse starts off the same way so it gives a nice rhythm to the book. The pictures are just a joy to look at as they have so many details. Sometimes we don't read the words, we just look at the pictures and point out all the interesting things to see. Like when the baby has one shoe on and one shoe off, and oh look there's the other shoe on the next page under the table! And so much more. I bought this book to replace an old tattered version as it is such a well loved book, I wanted my daughter to have the joy from it. It is really nice quality board book.
