Perfect taho! I’m so happy!
After so much time of researching, trials and error, I finally got the perfect measurements and ingredients to make taho. *250g soy beans wash and soak with 6 cups of water for 12hrs. *blend the beans with the water you used for soaking. *squeeze out the milk using a cheese cloth or nut milk bag. Make sure you get 6 cups of soymilk. You can add a little bit of water to the pulp so get more milk out to reach 6cups. *heat the soymilk on medium heat stirring constantly. Once you reach over 180 degrees. Set the pot aside. *mix 1 + 1/8 tsp gypsum and 2 tsp cornstarch in hot water. Stir until dissolved. *pour the coagulant mixture in the crockpot and quickly dump the milk in the crockpot after the coagulant. Close the crockpot and put in “warm” setting. Don’t stir, touch, move the crockpot or remove the bubbles. let it set for at least 30mins.

Highly recommend!
Worked perfectly to make my homemade tofu! I used this and a cheap tofu press I purchased on amazon and my tofu turned out just as good or maybe even better than store bought tofu. I bought this because it was food grade and the price was great. No regrets. Will buy again pretty soon!

Must Try
Flavor is neutral, doesn’t leave a distinct taste. I used it for taho and the one i made really tasted like authentic taho in Manila’s lako (street vending). I got the correct ratio for the consistency I wanted on my second try. Texture is smooth if you strain the soy milk multiple times, the only downside is the appearance is not silken smooth, it is porous though thus does not affect the palate but still I wish it is satiny smooth.

Works great to make tofu. At first I had a hard time with the water to bean ratio for my soy milk but after a few bad batches I finally got the ratio correct. Once I got the ratio correct, tofu making was very easy with this GDL. Tofu came out silky smooth and looked really good. Will definitely recommend this brand of GDL!

Update on my last review - Product works well
Product didn't work for me after 5 tries they all failed. I was exhausted from trying to explore all my options. Wasting my time and money. I don't recommend it. Update on my previous review - I decided to increase the coagulant powder and it works well making tofu custard.
