I have Dell Inspiron and the internal Wifi was problematic (Dell replaced Wifi card and updated drivers),Wifi would completely disappear when transferring data.I decided to try the Bros Trend AC3 USB Wifi Antenna system .Installation was straight forward, just remember to disable the existing Wifi adapter first !Bros Trend supplied a disk containing the installer and drivers.After install a reboot and hey presto the new device was up and running and attempting a connectionto my 5G network. After entering my network login information and I was up and running.A check on signal strengths and a tweak of the Ariel position/rotation to optimise the signal and I was getting 100% signal strength and +90% quality. This boosted my downloads to about 140Mbps,almost double that of the internal Wifi adaptor.The system has been running for over 2 weeks now. Wifi is firm it does not stop or disappear, evenunder stress with simultaneous data uploads and downloads.The only slight niggle I have is with the Realtek WLAN Wireless USB 2.0 Adapter program.This is the front end program that allows you to change settings and monitor signal strengths and data.It is a little temperamental on starting up the laptop, but it does not affect the operation of the Wifi. I dont really need it and so have deleted the program - this does not affect the operation of the Bros Trend Wifi device. If I do need to run it then it is easily installable again, without affecting the Bros Trend device.So overall I'm very satisfied with this device. 9.9/10

Needed new wireless adapter after my previous one started crashing after years of use. Home wifi signal a little awkward to pick up so went for this bigger "antenna". Works fab. Now can get a reliable 30 Mbps, which is a huge improvement. Installation CD which comes with it is very useful (so you don't need internet access to install the driver). I recommend you use the CD because I went first to the BrosTrend website & downloaded the driver, but the wizard didn't work, saying it didn't support my operating system - despite me downloading the correct version. But the CD version and driver worked fine. The "antenna" is a bit large, but who cares if it does the job very well? And it does make you look like you could be a techie communicating with the International Space Station.

I got the windows version, which works perfectly on windows 10. Dead easy to install on Windows.It also works, but less effectively, with linux.Slower download speed but not bad.If you look around there is a driver package on github.I did find that the USB cradle was a crappy loose fit and the antenna falls out of it a lot.So I gave up on it and got busy with staples, velcro and a USB cable on my desk - much better.I can update this with saying that it now works blazing fast on linux - 170Mbps - for me at aleast, but I don't know why or what happened to get it that way.

This is a great WiFi replacement for my laptops built in WiFi card. Which I broke replacing ram modules, another story.....It has better WiFi strength. But I guess it has bigger antennas so it should. Also like it has a cradle if needed too.The only issue I had was when I installed the drivers from the website, it stopped it working. I had to unistalled the device and let windows install its preferred drivers. Which were newer than the ones supplied on the mini CD....I am getting great results. In the high 400 and low 500 mb/s range. I am only about 8 - 10 meters but I am going through 1 wall....For anyone who is frustrated that it keeps picking the 2.4ghz signal over 5ghz because its stronger then do what I did.Go into the device's properties in the Device Manager. Select the Advanced Tab and under the 'Wireless Mode' select 802.11ac....(see pic). This will make the device only see and pick 5ghz signals. Should you need it to see 2.4ghz signals at a later stage then go back and change it back to Auto......So I would recommend this as a replacement or an upgrade from a standard laptop built in WiFi module.The icing on the cake is that when you open the packet a small leaflet tells you to send an email to Brostrend including your amazon order number and they will extend the warranty to 30 months... Can't be bad for the price.
