Creating stain glass paintings and trying to estimate how many tubes would be needed.** A: It would depend on the style of your picture. Is it a line drawing or a picture or do you want to just cover an area with one colour? I use them on candlesticks and wine glasses and I usually get about 16 wine glasses done in a session and have some left over. It depends how you use them. **Q: I'm a bit scared of baking the gin glasses I've painted with this. They're not marked as oven safe. Can someone who has done this before reassure me?!** A: I've used this make of glass paint for a number of years and have used glasses of all shapes and sizes, without any accidents. The whole idea is to put the glass in a cold oven, before setting the heat temperature. When the oven has reached the required temperature, you start the timer. When the timer goes off (I think it's 40 minutes, you'll have to check the instructions), you switch the oven off and leave the oven to cool down by itself before opening the door. You really must NOT open the oven door until the oven has cooled down quite a bit. If you do, it will be at this point that you risk breaking the glass. If you are in any doubt, I would suggest you try it out on a not so special glass. I would recommend this paint. The baking of the glass makes the glass washable, without risking damaging the paint. **Q: Is this peelable ?** A: it is actually peelable until you bake it, or at least this is my experience **Q: Can these air-dry without baking?** A: They do air dry, but I do not know whether it would airdry to the extent that baking cures the outliner. Do not be afraid of baking glass. It will take 160 degrees heat so long as it goes into the cold oven and heats up with the oven.
