Bought for my daughter as school shoes, following the demise of her no-longer-red-but-dead shoes. I think these are possibly a slight degree above the expected size, but that is perfect for her feet. The shoes arrived next day with Prime and are the genuine article, which means the usual Dr Marten quality. Not only that, but they were as much as thirty quid cheaper than other places I looked online, never mind the high street shoe shops, who were even dearer still! Eleanor has worn them for a week now and she says they are the epitome of comfort, and the envy of many of her friends. You just know that they will last, too, because of the legendary durability of Docs. Let's hope her feet don't grow anymore for a while!

I wore Doc Martens shoes when I was at school and they were considered edgy and cool. I was delighted when my daughter requested a pair for the new school year for 2 reasons. 1) I still think they are a great looking shoe 2) My memory is that they are high quality and last for ages. The shoes arrived promptly and in perfect condition. My daughter has only warn them for a few days, but it is clear that they will last longer than other shoes and I expect that they will stay looking smart for longer. Even though the price is higher than you might pay for other school shoes I expect that their durability and longevity will make them worth it.

After reading a few reviews I was a bit apprehensive knowing that they are now made abroad, but decided to purchase them anyway.Ok they are'nt as well made as before and probably won't last years like the original Dr Martins, but too be honest they are still comfortable, although probably a bit stiff at first and needed a few days wearing in. I would advise that the sizes are large and I should of ordered the size down and this was pointed out in other reviews. On the whole still a great shoe and I would buy another pair, and for £30 at the amazon market place its a bargain

These shoes didn’t just arrive — they stormed into my apartment like they were reclaiming it in the name of punk rock. First of all, they weigh approximately the same as a small dumbbell, which is great because I can skip leg day now. My calves are thriving. Breaking them in? Oh honey. It was less “breaking in” and more “negotiating a peace treaty with a pair of leather-clad rebels.” But once we came to an agreement (3 blisters and one emotional breakdown later), they molded to my feet like they were destined to stomp through life together. Now I wear them everywhere. Job interview? Yes. Funeral? Tastefully. Grocery store at 11 p.m.? Absolutely — and I get respect in the bread aisle. One guy asked me if I was in a band. I said no. He nodded like I still could be. That’s the 1461 effect. Would I recommend them? Only if you’re ready to become the main character in your own black-and-white movie.

I have worn DM's like these for 30 years, they used to be fantastic quality, and last 5 years of heavy use. Now they are made in China and just don't seem to last as well (IMO). The insole has lifted up and keeps getting creased. Plus they are causing me some blisters. They are still great, just not as good as they used to be....same as me I suppose.

My daughter is very heavy on school shoes as she has to walk down muddy tracks and through a field, she decided to try these as 'every one has them at school' they are amazing and we are very happy with them, ordered a 7 when she is normally an 8 but fit really well, didn't need to bed them in and are very comfy, hope these last longer than any other shoe we have had, They are almost bombproof and look to last years, happy purchase

great quality. good value for money and durable. Personally, I wear these shoes to school which i find brilliant as they are perfectly comfortable and will last me a while. At first they were quite sore and uncomfortable and a few blisters formed on my feet but i put plasters on and the shoes soon softened into my shape and I now wear them all the time and love them.

These shoes are well made and fit well. Although the leather is stiff, it hasn't taken long to get used to them. They have been excellent in wet weather, keeping feet dry. They were bought for a teenager who is very pleased with them and has had many positive comments. Very functional shoes with the added bonus of having lots of street credibility!!!

さすが造りがしっかりしていて革がいい！少し革が硬いので履き慣らさないと靴擦れしやすいと思います。靴底入れて調整すればとても履きやすくなりました。ソールも滑り難くて長持ちしそう。末永く履いていきます。

Ce modèle 1961 me convient, chausse un poil grand mais une fine semelle fait l'affaire. C'est ma première paire de Doc, je ne regrette pas mon achat, à voir dans le temps si la qualité est là ? Voila un an que je les porte presque tout les jours, un peu raide les quinze premier jours, mais depuis se sont de vrais merveille, après un an elles n'ont pas bougées, et je ne les ménage pas ...ce modèle est quasi indestructible. Je viens de commander une paire de 1960, en espérant qu'elles seront aussi à la hauteur de mes espérances. Je recommande vivement ces 1461
