But, as with everything you get what you pay for and this is what is says, a pro machine, built for the professional. The quality of the build reflects this in every way. There is a small space for storage beneath the tray where you could easily store thinlits, or paper, for example. The tray and cutting pads move through the machine as you turn the handle. A slight push until it 'catches' is necessary sometimes, but it does glide through easily. I have Fibromyalgia and Arthritis and I can use it without any problem. As the machine is so solid and heavy, it does not move on the table when you're working which is a big bonus for me. I have a different machine made by a different manufacturer, it folds when not in use, and you open it out to use and it moves all the time when I'm using it. This became very frustrating for me because I have problems with arthritis and could not hold it steady and that was when I decided to invest in the Sizzix Big Shot PRO. There is no such problem with th Sizzix Big Shot PRO. This machine stays put, no matter what you are cutting.
