Great purchase
For anyone buying this calender next year (2018) dont hesitate. My son is 7 and he has enjoyed every day of building. The calender is pricey but it has been worth the money and I would buy another next Christmas. Each small packet (behind each door) contained either a vehicle to build or a person. The instructions were easy to follow and my son enjoyed building the lego on his own. Santa was especially nice through door 24. I dont expect the people at Lego read these reviews but if they did it would be nice if the set contained a base board to mount everything on and maybe seperate instructions because in the end we had to cut the doors off so my son could easily read through the diagrams. Because of this the calender picture disapeared rapidly as the month went on.

Great early Christmas present but too expensive to just be seen as an advent calendar
Does what it says on the tin. Bit weird there were random extra pieces each day, I thought they may make something extra at the end but they don't. It felt relatively expensive and is not re-usable for next year. FYI it is all people. I am glad I got it as it made a great early Christmas present, but don't think I would buy again due to price and the fact that it doesn't build an end product per say so not sure how we will or wont be able to put the pieces into use with the rest of our lego.

Although initial outlay appears high, well worth it!
Although I have not started this years calendar yet, the one I bought last year was worth every penny, which is why I have invested again.I like that the scene builds up over the advent period, and the box folds down for you to display each of the models. Last year I did not realise until mid-December that the instructions for building are on the inside of the doors, it made my life easier when I did.Enjoyed by the whole family (parent and three children aged 10-19) each taking turns to build everyday. The success of the last one leads me to believe this could become a family tradition in the long term!

Simple and effective
Amazing! I got this for my partner (26 y/o) because he loves Lego but prefers following instructions over random building. It's got a fold out scene, so he gets to arrange them all as he builds them... Then rearrange them the next day when the new figure doesn't fit in. The figures are easy to set up, so I may look for a more complex one next time. A great advent calendar if you want to give something more than chocolate.

Much better than a traditional advent calendar
My son loved this - and the fact he could build a piece everyday and not just eat chocolate before school was worth the extra money. He has kept the box and lego figures and still plays with it everyday. He was told that this was one of his Christmas presents due to the price tag, but it was definitely worth it and I will be buying a similar one for next year.

Fantastic buy
What a fabulous product! This is the first year I havenβt brought chocolate calendars. My 6 year old was so excited when he got this. Each day there is a new item or figure to make in a little bag behind the door. The calendar itself turns over and folds down so there is a little play seen to play with all the items. I will definitely be buying another one next year.

Best value
The best value Lego advent calendar in my opinion. This has a good range of Lego mini figures- including the most important- Lego Santa and this year has has his little glasses on.It has a good range of quick, easy to assemble models behind each door, all in their own bag to avoid losing any pieces into the box.A final word of warning, if you are buying, buy early as these get more expensive as the season goes on as they are collectors items which are retired at the end of the year.
