Vallejo’s washes set is a game-changer for my painting projects! As my favorite paint brand, Vallejo never disappoints, and this set takes detailing to a whole new level. The washes are easy to apply, flow smoothly into recesses, and bring out incredible depth and contrast on models. The range of colors in the set is fantastic, covering everything I need for weathering, shading, and adding realistic effects. They’re versatile, blend beautifully, and dry with a flawless, matte finish that makes my work look professional. If you’re into model painting, miniatures, or wargaming, this washes set is a must-have. It’s made my favorite brand even more indispensable. Highly recommend!

Firstly, I write this review knowing that I need more experience in using these washes. To-date, I've only really used the Citadel washes, dating back to their first release. Citadel washes are satin and quite thin in nature. I know how they flow and how they look. I've recently moved away from citadel for my acrylics and thought I'd give these washes a try. In summary, they're much thicker and much stronger in pigment density as far as I can tell. They're also very matte if that's what you're after. I've tried to thin them with various mediums, starting with water, but they don't tend to work as well and I find chunks of pigment (particularly in the black wash) are noticeable on the mini. Also, when these start to dry on your palette, I can't rehydrate them or reuse them as the application becomes extremely glossy. They do what they're supposed to do - they shade/tint, and they flow into recesses for contrast. They're just quite different for those of used to the likes of nuln oil.

A choice of every colour you would need, and can be combined to create others. Can be used over existing colours to bring out the shading or straight onto pale undercoat for a more contrast style effect. The pale grey wash will be my go-to instead of apothecary white. Also will not reactivate with water when dry which is really helpful

For anyone into modelling, if you build the likes of star wars or star trek space craft, these are absolutely ideal. Drop a few spots onto a model, spread it around a little with a brush, and it immediate looks like a space worn craft. Mix up a few colours for extra effect. I tend to highlight areas in a particular colour, then use these washes to blend in across the model. Black is by far the most used, and will no doubt run out the quickest. They really give a model that world weary look, and whist this might not appeal on a model car, it's ideal for space craft, air craft and war themed models. Value wise, they are lasting well and there's a good selection for the money. Every modeller should have a set.

Decent set of washes. Have never used anything like them so cannot compare to other brands but ha e used on gw minis in conjunction with vajello paints and they do what they're meant to.

As it often happens when buying miniature paints on Amazon, you never really get what you want. This time I got the range of washes from Vallejo in a random box, and they are not even the same colour range. The washes are flesh, red, green, black, sepia, umber, blue and pale grey, while the image shows another range. Some are good (sepia, black, pale grey) but they tend to be a bit too thick and they do not enter in the nooks of the minis. Others simply do not work at all, they barely stain the mini with a shade. Overall I am not satisfied.

He utilizado el set de lavados de Vallejo Game Color (8 colores) en varios proyectos de modelismo y miniaturas, y es un kit muy completo para trabajar sombras y detalles. Formato con cuentagotas muy cómodo. A tener en cuenta: Conviene aplicarlos con control y retirar el exceso para evitar manchas, sobre todo en superficies grandes. Conclusión: Un set muy recomendable para cualquier aficionado al modelismo o pintura de miniaturas. Aporta un salto de calidad notable con poco esfuerzo.
