Plates arrived quickly and just what I wanted. Would highly recommend.

The best there are
Sizzix cutting plates are the best quality. Simple. By miles. The substituted ones do not last nearly as long. You need to replace them as frequently (two pairs at least!) for just one set of these! So you end up paying more money in the long run for a flimsy, bog standard plates. I have used the same Sizzix plates for years. Still great for cutting. Just reverse regularly and keep as flat as possible. Highly, highly recommended.

Good quality, no issues.
These are a little expensive for what is essentially 2 pieces of acrylic, however they are much better quality than the previous 3rd party set I had. Durability-wise, the better you look after them the longer they will last. I turn my plates after every cut and flip them top and bottom so that they get even wear and they don't curve too much. I use these regularly and haven't had any issues yet. When I need another set I will definitely choose these again over 3rd party ones.

For sizzix big shot
Perfect for sizzix big shot machine, I got these for my mom, just what she needed, and good price too

Good replacement for die-cutting but also if you want to use your Sizzix for printmaking
Eventually cutting pads get worn, marked and curl up, so you have to replace them. These were a very good price on Amazon. It's nice to have the extended bed if you want to also use your die cutter for print-making. All you would need to do is to have a couple of felt pads the same size to cushion your paper and plate in the rollers. For printmaking a longer roller means you can roll the first part in, lift your felt up and then place your printing plate and paper in, fold the felt over and continue to roll. This stops any wiggling going on that you might get at the start. I make drypoint an lino-cuts on a Sizzix.

Long lasting plates
I have had these for some time but not had to open them as yet. I bought an extended platform when I got my first set and have found that these together last so much longer than the standard size plates.
